Good HPA Tank?

So ive been playing paintball for a while and ive always played with CO2... now im looking into getting an HPA tank. I want something that i can easily use and is good for woodsball games (also looking at getting into scenario play) Price is an issue and id be wearing this tank on the back of a GxG tactical vest. Any suggestions? and what size should i get without over doing it on air?

i like to conserve my ammo... i own what could be considered a Tippmann 98 rental marker, meaning that i have no electronics in the marker whatsoever. i like the gun as is and havent looked into ungrading the internals all that much. ive got a flatline barrel by the way (if that helps)

I would stick with CO2 on a 20 ounce tank it might get around 1200 shots (gas hog marker) an on a 60/4500 tank you might be lucky to get 800 an it's hard to get those tanks filled unless you go to a decent field. FYI your barrel doesn't help/hurt gas efficiency in any way.

well if your going to have it on your back your going to need a coil, and coils are only rated for 3000 psi, also, sich its on your back, you wont need like the best hpa tank, i think u sould just get an [u]aluminum 72cu 3000 psi by pure energy[/U], but if you dont want such i big one, you could just get a 48cu 3000 psi tank . i have a 48cu 3000 psi aluminum pure energy tank and i use it for my bt4 (which is basically the same as a 98 custom) and its good for me, i usually have to fill it a second time, maybe third time at the field

Actually, the barrel can affect efficiency. The larger area of space before the bore begins to narrow can cause the gun to need more air to reach a desired fps.

I'd say if youre looking onto hpa and you're on budget, go with a big steely tank. The pure energy 72/3000s (probably like 60-70$) will hold a decent amount of air. However, a carbon fiber tank (about 120-160$) can hold 4500 psi which will let you get more shots per fill even with a few less cubic inches of tank size

The remote only has to deal with 800 psi for a HPA tank. The 3000/4500 is only on the fill side.
Look into Crossfire or Ninja tanks, both are well made.

The output pressure on an contemporary HPA system is designed to mimic a CO2 tank. Since the normal operating pressure of a full CO2 tank is between 850 and 925psi that is the area most HPA systems are preset to. Most are sut at about 850, although you can get low pressure systems that are set at 600 to 650psi.

If you screwed 3000psi into the back of your marker it would explode. LOL

I prefer Ninja Air Systems. They are the right price, they're made in America, and they are good, solid, consistent, reliable systems.

Now, on the subject of pressure, Ninja does make a fill whip extension that you can attach to your remote tank so that you don't have to hook a hose to a tank behind your back. It's a lot more convenient if you run remote, and it's only about twenty bucks. Now since this hose carries straight 3000 or 4500 psi to fill you tank it does have to be rated for high pressure. However, your remote line to your marker is carrying regulated air, so it only has to be able to handle about 850psi.

If you are using it to fill you tank...stop doing that immediately.

If i were to recommend, dont get a 4500 ninja if u decide to upgrade ur vest (like a rap4 vest) it wont fit in ur back. Another thing is that i guarantee ur gonna want to upgrade from i 98 to like a x7 or tm15, which are gas hogs (especially when ur using full auto). I think u should get the New stealth systems crossfire tank which is really light so u r able to run faster.

Really? I can Guarantee you, You are dead wrong. A 92/4500 sure does fit in a rap4, or spec ops bottle holder that is used on their vests. If ya want a pic, pm me.

My ninja tank doesnt fit in my rap4 09 vest, i prbly can make it fit if i rly rly try but i just use my steely tank instead when i use my x7. I also have the 45/4500 ninja tank. Mayb the 92/4500 is slimmer im not sure but w/e.
