...no one found those videos funny
I like the original version of that song, maybe that's why I find them funnier than I should. Around 2:00 into the Canucks one in a hilarious reference to blaming everything on Lolongo if you haven't watched them...

The Detroit Red Wings and defenseman Kyle Quincey have agreed on a two-year contract that will keep the sides from taking part in a scheduled arbitration hearing. Financial terms of the deal were not revealed, but TSN is reporting Quincey will be paid $3.55 million in 2012-13 and $4 million in 2013-14.

Good. I like Quincey a lot... We need to keep some stuff in line because have been having a ****ty offseason.
I was listening to Detroit radio 97.1 the ticket this morning and they were talking about how Columbus wouldn't return call offers for Nash, and how they've stated they want two great forwards for him. Radio was also saying that there was talk of perhaps getting rid of Franzen and Filpulla if that's what it took.
Personally I want to keep Franzen. I don't really care about Filp. And I'm not saying this for Nash, but just in general.
I don't want Nash personally. I'd rather see us sign Doan, Semin, or Bobby Ryan...
They were also talking about the trade deadline this year and perhaps it might be time to get rid of one of our stars like Datsyuk, but I don't ever see that happening. I feel like he'll be a Wing for his career, as well as Zetterberg (especially if he gets the C)
One thing's for sure is that we need to do something and stay in playoff contention (like the Kings did this year)

You'd have to trade to get Bobby Ryan, brah.
I want to see the Devils sign Semin. I think I read somewhere that Pittsburgh has been talking to Doan.

I've read that he is "very interested" in both Pittsburgh an Philly. I'd love to have Doan.

word is he's in for 4 years 5mil+. Way too much for a guy who's turning 36 in october and is declining. With him being 35, that means you're gonna be eating the cap hit every year til the contract is up.

I was talking about doan. I wouldn't want semin on my team for anything longer than a 2 year deal. Cap hit isn't that big a concern, but no way would I sign his *** long term.

Franzen isn't going anywhere. (I'm assuming lol)
Quote:
On 11 April 2009, Franzén signed a contract extension with the Detroit Red Wings for 11 years. The contract runs through the 2019-2020 season, and is worth $43.5 million.
|
I'd personally keep both Franzen and Filppula over the current remaining free agents. I really don't know about Semin just due to his numbers declining over the past few seasons.
As far as Nash goes, Columbus will be super stubborn about letting him go, especially to Detroit. He is the face of the franchise around here.

WOW!
Darren Dreger @DarrenDreger
Breaking: Shea Weber agrees to offer sheet with Philadelphia. 14 years, upwards of $100 mil. Preds have 7 days to match. Wow!!
Unreal. Nashville has 7 days to match.
More info:
Darren Dreger @DarrenDreger
Nashville was working on a trade and its believed several deadlines passed before Flyers grew tired of waiting. Weber signed offer sheet.
Darren Dreger @DarrenDreger
I'm told a number of teams were in on a possible Shea Weber trade. If Preds don't match, they receive 4- 1st round picks as compensation.
