I never listen to it, and I am sure it's a great medium between horrible **** that is popular, and what I consider to be the best music, it just shocked me that a guy that is supposed to be good was so out of key.

He's not a pop artist. He's comparable to prince with his style of music. He can be very feminine, he's bisexual so people are weirded out by that but he doesn't care about all those "boundaries".
Listen to lost, and novacane

except prince has crazy range vocally and can play the guitar. even if every solo he ever plays is the same scale he's pretty damn good player.

Style, wasn't comparing prince's ability to his. Franks music is very good though. I enjoy the R&B in his music. She is probably one of my favorite "rap/R&B" songs

"So I guess Ohio State had lost the bowl game, so Earl Bruce brings in Woody Hayes. I had been there just a week and I'm thinking, 'Holy, this is Coach Hayes.' I'm sitting in the back. Coach Hayes was not healthy at the time, but stands up and starts laying into the coaching staff about toughness. That we have no toughness in the program. That's why we lost the game. On and on and screaming, this old guy pounding the table. He says, 'We have no toughness, and the reason is because you're not tough. No one on this staff is tough enough, and that's a problem.'
"He reaches down and grabs this box, slides the top and there was something in the box moving around. He reaches in and he pulls out this turtle. He reaches down, this turtle's snapping and he says, 'I'm going to show you toughness.' He unzips his pants and takes out whatever he takes out. The turtle reaches up and snaps at him. You see the veins and the sweat (on Hayes). He screams at the coaches, 'That's toughness! That's f'n toughness!' He reaches down, pokes the turtle right in the eye and it falls off. He wipes the sweat off his forehead and says, 'That's the problem. We don't have anybody in this room tough enough to do that right there.
"(One assistant) raises his hand and says, 'Coach, I'd do this. Just promise not to poke me in the eye.'"

I'm not one of those people that likes all types of music, I only like rock and roll really, but within that I like a huge variety of genres.

All hipster talk. Though I agree the whole folk thing needs to be over, but they entertained.
How can you not like Jack White???? The guy is a musical genius.

there's a pretty strong group of people out there that don't like jack white. most of them don't like him for similar reasons, but I have always loved the white stripes. I don't like his solo album much though, lacks what makes the white stripes good, the grittiness and pedal effects, lacks the passion and whaling vocals too.
then the dead weather and raconteurs are cool too.
