New To Airsoft
Hello everyone, I'm new to airsoft like the title says and well I want to get into it. My friend talks about it all the time when ever I talk about paintball. It seems great because it doesnt cost as much and we can practice tactical stuff just in the woods in my backyard without getting in trouble.
What would be a good gun, Im not looking for a pull back spring action rifle. A good AEG. Kind of like a CQB style gun but has a little more range but still staying small. I got a price range from what ever is in the 100s to 250$ Anything else I should get, please let me know. Thank you.

If you want an inexpensive starter gun I'd recommend a G&G M4. They range from around $140 to around $200. They're nothing fancy (some come with rails) but they're very reliable and shoot fine. Other companies to look into are Echo 1 and even the KWA Sportline series is something to check out. KWA makes excellent guns but they're $300+. The Sportlines from them are going to be plastic bodies but the same amazing quality internals for around $200.
Were you looking for an M4 or a different platform gun?

It doesnt really matter, I dont want to invest a whole lot of money into it as Im not going all out for it. Just something to use when paintball isnt the option and also the local field holds airsoft events. M4 would be nice but even an AK would be nice too. Plus it would match the event for the "bad guys". I was looking around on the web and found this AK setup with a folding stock. The frame was a light medal. The mag though was plastic, it was 140$. Its made by CYMA and looks alright.

CYMA makes decent AKs, but I would highly recommend getting a Dboys AK instead. Dboys are exact copys of VFC which are really high end AKs; probably the 2nd best out there next to Real Sword. On Airsplat they have a Dboys AKS74U (short version, folding metal stock, real wood) for $120 and free shipping. The Dboys AKs have much better externals (stamped steel, real wood) too so I'd say go with them instead. And don't worry about the mags being plastic. They have metal ones available but the plastic ones are very durable.

Alright, thanks for the help. Any more things you want to add in or no?

Hmmm. Don't use ****ty BBs, which is basically anything from Sports Authority/Dicks. Only use .2g BBs or heavier weight, never .12g. Avoid Javelin brand BBs. Since your'e just a regular player avoid using LiPo batteries in your gun; they may damage the gun. Other than that, just use common sense and you'll be fine. PM me or post here if you have any questions before/after buying your gun.
