I have a RAP4 T68 splitfire with a Ninja 13ci/3000 in-stock tank.
In CQB, I run Mag-Fed.
In scenario (woodsball) often I'll use the hopper-fed.
I love the "un-hooked" feeling of the in-stock air but it's not enough air for all-out hopper-fed play.
I run a secondary air source (68/4500 tank) on the back of my vest and plug it into the smaller tank through my remote line when the small tank runs out.

If I buy a 3000 psi (output) regulator for the large tank, will I be able to fill the smaller tank using the remote line ??

The remote line is rated up to 3000 psi (working pressure) and 7500 psi (max pressure) as per the writing on the line itself.

I'm not sure if the slide-check can be used in the same way (as an on/off switch), otherwise, I really don't see any reason why this wouldn't work.

Any suggestions ??

Rob,

Thanks for the reply but that'snot quite what I had in mind.

I actually want to "re-fill" the 13ci tank with the 68/4500 tank.
I know thatI will need to put a 3000 psi output Reg on the larger tank.
But like the case in the thread above, I'm not sure if it's as easy as hooking up my remote and using it to refill the 13ci tank.

The entire purpose is to use the 68/4500 tank as a "fill" tank for the 13ci and use the in-stock air without any "tether" or remote hook-up.

Sorry if I confused the issue.

Hey ninja,

I'm looking to buy a new tank from you, but I see that you have a tank coming out called dura carbon fiber. what is this and how is it different from your other carbon fiber tanks?

Exactly which reg do you have? Standard Adjustable, Ultralite Adjustable, SLP, SMP, SHP, etc?

This may help as well: http://www.ninjapaintball.com/manuals.html

Dura is a matte finish, not glossy like the tanks you're used to seeing. It has the same coating on it that is included on baseball bats that our bottle manufacturer makes for us.

I've got pressure in the bottle now; once I purge the tank I'll clean and relube the reg. I have a simple pressure tester made up of a UFA with a 0-1200 psi micro gauge. I'm still waiting for my good glycerin filled gauges to come in.

The regs ship at 800psi with all of the shims inside of it. You would have to remove shims to drop the pressure or add them back in to raise the pressure back up. Here's a link to a video that will take you through the entire process:

ok sounds good. let me know what reading you get once you get your glycerin filled gauge. I would like to know what kind of a difference you get from the micro gauge and that one. Micro and regulator gauges can be off by up to 10% in some cases. the cleaning and relube should help as well. Also make sure to wipe down the ball seat at the end of the piston shaft when you clean it.

Rob any idea when the Lime 77/4500 dura tanks will be available for purchase. And when they are available can I purchase directly from Ninja or do I have to wait for a Ninja dealer to get one. I want one bad and just wanna be able to get it as fast as possible.

Rob,

One other question. Are the candy colored tanks repairable if there is damage to the colored coating? The fibers are fine; it's just the tinted clearcoat that I'm worried about.
