Here's the deal..

My friend is a complete ****in' noob to paintball. I'm stuck helping him what to get cuz he's getting $1600 for his birthday. He doesn't want to blow it all, so this is what i've got him getting:

Ion
45/45 PMI Tank
PROfilers
Halo b or Revvy

Now, he keeps sending me links to useless crap he says he needs. I keep telling him to get his gun, mask, tank, and hopper first before he buys anything else.

Can you guys help me out here and suggest what he should do? And make it easier for me to do this ****. He just started talking about woodsball, and it's making me pissed off.

Why don't you guide him to a proshop and they can talk to him and explain to him all the guns and gear, and what each and every thing does.

I know people are going to say "He needs to start with a low end so he can learn the basics and whatnot and move up." I strongly disagree with that for many reasons, but am to tired to type it all out right now.

Personally I'd suggest an ETek, 68/45 Crossfire HP, Halo B, Empire B, or Vlocity, and a mask that he thinks is comfortable.

what sort of "useless" stuff is he wanting? it would be a good idea for him too get a pack, gloves (if he wants them), squeegee, gear bag, and pants and jersey (again, if he wants them)

We can get all this stuff at Air Assault, just he wants to get this shocktech barrel bore thingy for his ion, which is extremely pointless.

Total- Ranging from $974-$1,069. Out of $1,600 that isn't blowing all of it. To save even more money get a used 05 ego thats even cheaper (around $600-700).

He's also cheap. He doesn't want a gun over 300 bucks.

Tank=47ci 3000psi..dont waste money if hes not gonna even paly
hopper=halo b
pants=diablo D13 comfy,get bounces,light
Pack=a NXe or a Redz
Mask=w/e is comfy to him
podz=tell him to go steal some form the field or find ones left laying aorund then go hom and clean them..
that is all he needs if that to start out

I've known his for 9 years, he only used to play woodsball, he wants to buy a ****ing spyder, he thinks he needs all this extra stuff when he doesn't.

Plus i'm starting a team and he wants to be on it, but he hasn't played paintball for about 2 years.

tell him when he start knowing wut the game is about and how to paly ti then he can upgrade his gun..upgrades r only if somehting is holding u back in your game...then u buy somthin that is a little bit more forgiving and will let u do more, or help u out.
