It seems that my asa is leaking through the knob. Ive taken it apart and nothing looks wrong or funny. Any ideas?

Is the leak actually from around the knob, or is it from the front vent hole under the ASA?

I don't think that you can really have a leak from around the knob unless air is leaking in to the front section of the ASA, and if that were to occur, air would instead leak from the front vent hole.

With that in mind, you need to concentrate on the o-ring inlet in to the front of the ASA insert. It could be dirty and need cleaning, or be worn and need replacing. A tiny bit of grease rubbed in to it to help it stay supple can also help.

It seems to be leaking out of the knob, not the vent hole. So it may just be the o-ring. How do i get the o-ring out to check?

If you look in the rear of the ASA - where you screw in the tank - you'll see a silver or bronze coloured part with the degassing pin in the centre. Carefully use a pair of tweezers or pliers to pull out that part. Once you have that part out, you'll see one or two o-rings around the outside, and another o-ring set in to the end. You can lever the o-ring out of it's inlet with a tooth pick or some other similar tool.
