Synecdoche, New York

Anyone else up for a discussion about this sprawling film? I just recently caught it thanks to it finally leaking and was not let down. What did you guys think of Kaufman's directorial debut?

I came out of the theater debating if this movie was brilliant or terribly self-indulgent. It's been a few months and I still have no idea.

d/ling now. Big fan of Being John Malkovich. Saw the trailers for Synecdoche awhile back and it does look interesting albeit sad. I'll post back after I watch.

Is it not a brilliantly self-indulgent film?

I still need to see it I was half tempted to just blindly buy it at walmart the other night. I'm kinda curious to see where in Schenectady they did filming because I live there.

One of the best movies ever made IMO.
I still don't fully comprehend it, but the initial responses I had to my first viewing definitely establish it as a great film to me.
