Based on owning a GTI(20th) for two years-
They look cool(compared to other cars in its class).
They sound pretty good.
They ALWAYS break.

vr6 motor in my audi 90 was pretty nice ran it to 200k
couldn't find OEM exhaust parts that wern't worth more than that car

pros:
Reliable
Fast
Good looking
Cheap
Easy to work on
cons:
Unreliable
Slow
Ugly
Expensive
Expensive repair bills at the dealer
