well its finished, my project vespa. My goal achieved: a walkable mechanical ion.
Ive built mech Ions in the past and i was always dissatisfied with how the triggers were so i set out to make the lightest trigger possible.
parts used:
clippard QEVs
SMAV-3 3 way
MSV-2 shuttle valve
MPA-3 actuator
Jackhammer 2 LPR
Stinger Grips
JBweld (yeah yeah i know...
)
first off, the stock ion.... Ewww ugly and broken QEV in the body
so i got the trigger assembly together, i know that i could have just used the one valve and no lpr, but keeping the pressure that low really lightens the pull. MSV-2 trips the actuator and the actuator...uhh... actuates the SMAV-3
Here it is with a fresh coat of spray paint, and the LPR installed. I tried drilling and tapping but I FUBAR'd it so out came the JB weld again
here are the grips from Stinger, I cant say enough about the quality of work that these guys do!
Here is the finished project with a new trigger and feedneck
