Whats up PBn have't been on here in forever because I stopped ballin' due to other priorities but that's besides the point. I have a program question for you.

Let my try to figure out the easiest way for me to explain this.

If I wanted a program that would automatically direct message someone on Twitter with preloaded information how would I do that? It would also have to include a "secret" hashtag that the other person tweets say suppose its this..

Person 1: Whats up guys #PBnation
Person 2 (AUTOMATICALLY sends DM) #PBnation nothing much how are you?

something like that but fully automated. The program would have to notice the #hashtag and include it in the DM that is sent instantly once the tweet is updated.

Can anyone help?

First things first I take it none of you collect sneakers. Nike has released this new Twitter RSVP System to avoid people camping out for shoes because they think it causes violence because people were getting shot and stuff.

Straight from Nikes website:

Basically they Tweet that the "#Rsvp is now open for the Air Jordan 5 retro Fire red send us a DM now with your name and size and include #fire5"

They use a hashtag as the secret code. So you would have to DM them "#Fire5 John Doe 10.5"

It's based on a first come first serve basis with very limited shoes available. I cant always be on twitter all day cyber camping waiting for them to tweet the info so I ran across the program that other guy was using and tried to press him for more info about it and he wouldn't budge.

I just would want a preogram where I can put my name, shoe size and it would recognize the "Secret" #hashtag and include it in the "#hashtag John Doe 10.5" Format and automatically send it as soon as they send the tweet.

A browser plugin might be best.

But if you don't have any programming experience, you're a bit in over your head.

Not worth it for a pair of Nikes anyway.

I understand what you're going for here sorry I can't help, but couldn't you just subscribe to Nike and have an alert go to your phone when they tweet something?

Yeah, that used to work. But a lot of sketchy things been going on with that. The Nike stores actually been turning off the mobile alerts when you turn them on. Anyway, for someone who does know programming pretty well how hard would it be?

This is a pretty simple twitter bot. I could probably do it but you couldn't pay me enough. The hardest part would be the auth. I'd strongly recommend using someone else's work as a starting point.

Yeah the API is part of it. Still have to write a significant amount of client code so I'm suggesting a bot library or framework.
