This is the shocker forum. People who frequent this place are going to say shocker.

But for what its worth, I'd go with the shocker. Much cooler stuff and mods available for it. Parts are still widely available used. I think GOG (SP's reincarnation) carries some stuff too.

yup, also I prefer the customization options available with a Shocker. If you want, you can setup the gun exactly how you like it so that it's distinctly yours.

yea i posted it up here to see what the shocker owners are going to say as well as posting again in the proto boards... just to see what both sides have to say... i am a fan of the shocker as i owned one before taking a break from paintball , just wondering if theres anything comprable in the same price range as a used shocker or maybe something newer i should be looking at...

I have owned both. The PMR shoots fine with a little less maintenance, and parts are still being made for them.

The Shocker shoots worlds better, with plenty of parts still readily available, both new and through BST. Since your in CA, I don't think cold weather will be a huge factor in your decision, but Shockers tend to dislike the cold.

I'd go Shocker, for sure.

Depends, you should part one together for a more custom feel but I think it would cost more, also might be easier to just buy a decent upped shocker and slap parts on and sell parts you don't want, that's what I did, I bought a shocker for 175, a shocker missing parts for 60 and pieced together my gun then have sold a lot of the spare parts for around 150ish. Up to you though

Shocker all the way, with my experience it's been much more reliable, shoots better, and to be honest the maintenance is pretty much the same.

I love my NXT shockers. I have had considerably less issues than my friend has had with his PMR and when i do they are usually easily fixed with lube or adjusting the dwell. I have 3 NXT shockers right now and will always keep at least one. That being said ive run into some money issues and will be selling my 2 stock ones, if your interested or have any questions i would be more than happy to help, just shoot me a PM
