i still think this a ****ing retarded idea if these bunkers are incorporated for the first event. These bunkers arent even for sale yet, and by the time they are for sale so many people are going to be buying them that they are going to be backordered for a looong time. Then once they are off backorder, you have to wait for them to be shipped. Which basically means half the teams that dont get the first shipment are gonna be at a disadvantage for the first event at least.

this = stupid.

imo i think they could be a great 40 bunker or right or left 50(whichever doesnt have the snake) just because the way each side of the x goes up and down instead of a flat sided bunker (temple etc.) would be very easy to play real tight. the little top edge would protect ur hopper and u could neal behind the rest, only thing showin is part of ur goggle and barrel! ( >< = sweet)

first of all they replace the small temples and yes i think they are gay as **** but they do give u and advantage to stik your barrel in the small space on the side between the two arms of the x tho but otherwise they are kinda gay i liked the temples way better but thts just my 2 cents

They are replacing the Tall Temples. Not the small ones.

this is also a way for sup air to generate more money for them again.

you realize how many people have bought xball fields as it is, now they need to buy new bunkers.

plus hey it keeps it interesting

i thought that when you bought a sup'air field they gave the new bunker designs(such as this new X) for free to the field owners(now if you bought the field from a tournament then i think you're screwed)

These things are not as bad as people are making them out to be.

As gary(i think that was his name) said the mini Xs are replaceing the tall temple, and sence these are replacing temples they will probably be placed in the same gerneral area as temples( the 20-30 and in the corners).

My local proshop got the mini Xs in and if they are placed in those areas they wont be hard to play at all youll have enough time to see the paint and get in. All you have to do is turn your hopper in and put your barrel in the corner of the X. However if placed anywere on the 45-50 you will get pinched like crazy and youll end up on your knees with your gun up on the prop hoping you dont get shot.

I think the top of the X is 6ft tall but it dips down enough for me to shoot through it and im about 5'5 5'6.

So if they truly replace Tall temples it will work out becuase the other team wont have a good enough angle on you as long as you keep your loader in.

I cant see how they would replace anything with this. If it is replacing aztecs im guessing it isnt much bigger. How are you supposed to play an X this small?

Where did you hear PSP was using these?

negative nate. when you and i were in the shop, i had to stand on my toes to get high enough to shoot through the top and im 6'3. this prop is definately a kneeling prop, anything else and your pack is exposed. i hope its not a bunker they place in a key position, maybe the 50 tape, but thats about the only place i would consider playing it.

This is just the PSP taking care of Sup'Air. Fields finally modernized with good field sets and Sup'Air realized that they were gonna have a drop in business. Soooo..... pillars and mini-X's that will make field owners spend another few grand. Oh yeah, and they were careful not to tell anyone about this until everyone had already bought all of the Cup bunkers.

its a good marketing technique

i'll have to wait until i play one, but they look interesting. it will allow for new bunker combos and stuff too, so i'm not opposed to it.
no use in complaiining about it, they are going to be used so just deal with it. its like telling a river to stop, the only person who can make it happen is the guy at the dam, in this case the PSP owner(s).

Last time I checked. They are going to be used in place of tall Azteks. They are around 6ft tall I guess. Can shoot through the top center and the sides really good. In my opinion takes alittle more skill to play and alot more exciting. PSP is moving twards a more entertaining game. There will be little to none middle back bunkers off the break.
