The Excalibur is more expensive and appeals to people like me that love complex elegant solutions but are too much of a nimrod to be able to take it apart and maintain it.

The excalibur is a closed bolt marker that utilizes two solenoids to control the cycling. The Viking is an open bolt marker that uses one solenoid.

an easy way to ID them - a vikings bolt pin is about half way between the feedneck and the back of the gun, whereas an Excals is very close to the back of hte gun.

even easier, excal feedneck sits towards center of frame. viking feedneck sits forward of frame.
oh, and excals are better

There is no better way to describe it. Either is a great choice.

Excal shoots a little slower than the vik but has far less recoil stock. Put a RTV in a vik and you have the best of both worlds.
btw - vikings did not have horns in their helmets, hollywood did that.
