I dont really like the fish eye lense for these photos. I think they would have been much better had the lighting been better, without a flash(cant tell if you are using one) and with a regular lense

pretty much everything with these is wrong. Check skatephotog websites for real advice on how to improve. I post on SAC and Skateperception.

Wrong? You cant take a "wrong" picture. But there is a way to improve to take a better picture.

yeah, i was using the on camera flash. dont have funds for other lighting yet. im pretty new at all of it, new camera plus the fact that i dont have photoshop anymore dosent help much for the colors in the pics. 1 and 2 are my favorites aswell.

Flash lighting is eh. Most of your pictures have good angles for the action shown. On the group photo, why did you place the guy in the center of the frame, while the other two are shoved off to the side? Curious

Wide angle lenses are fun, but remember in all things moderation. In this situation your lens view is much greater then your flash can reach. I like the first one becuase it shows the person in action and you can clearly see his face, while in other the main focus in on their butt, crotch, or elsewhere. Try working with different lenses, and experiment with different lens angles to get different looks to your images.

Overall, I'd say you did pretty good with what you had to work with Keep shooting and try to anticipate where the best angle will be to capture the action and the skaters expression.

You shouldn't be limited by on camera flash. I've taken shots with mine that you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between it and the 580 EX...

I like the first one a lot, the others are weird. You have the timing right on almost all of them.
