Best lcd GAMING tv?

Do you guys know if there is already a thread about this? I tried looking but didnt find one. I need a gamning tv for my 360 and would like it to keep up with the games and not have that slow reaction time. How many ms is usually required? Size around 26"-32" and money doesnt matter. Just trying to find out. Also has to be HD Thanks your help is appreciated.

This is not a problem anymore at all. Any name brand TV will provide you with just what you need with no delay. Non issue now.

.

Rarely do you find TVs with response times of more than 8ms. Some are less, most low-to-mid-end are 8ms or 5ms, which are both perfectly fine for gaming.

IMO you're better off getting a 26/28" LCD like this one:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824116084

It's got extremely high pixel density compared to a TV, plenty of inputs. You just have to worry about sound.

Oh really? Because my parents just picked up a new Tv for their room and the box said it had 6ms response time so i plugged my 360 in to test it out with CoD4 and it seemed like there was a delay. Same thing when I tried playing Guitar Hero seemed there was a slow delay when i would hit the keys to when it actually hit the tv.

Well there are known issues with playing GH on 360 on HD sets with lag/ delay. As for COD I can't speak to that... what brand is this "new" tv your parents got for their room? What year was it made? If it's a few years old but just new to them then sure- there could be delay. We are saying that newer sets manufactured within the last year or so don't have this issue.

Oh, you could also see if this set your parents have has a "GAME" setting on it. That could help correct the delay.

I doubt there was a delay unless it was a setting. 6ms is more-than-usable.

Edit: ^^ And what he said.

I really highly doubt any good TV (Sharp is a very good brand) has any type of lag.

What were you using to hook it up? If you were using anything other than MS cables, that may have been the problem. Might have just been a bad cable.

I used just the cables that it came with and switched the little switch to "HD". What would be better?

Does your 360 have HDMI? HDMI is like the god of AV cables.

Those are the ones that cost 50 right? I am planning on picking one of those up for my 360 does it have to be the Microsoft ones? I see the HDMI input on the tv so I really want to get some. Do they make that big of a difference?>

1. Don't spend $50 on a cable. www.monoprice.com
2. No, any HDMI cable will work. One should've come with your 360 if you have a 360 with HDMI.
3. They're digital as opposed to your analogue, plus they have the option for digital 7.1 audio.

unfortunately, only the elite comes with hdmi...
i was excited about getting those cables, and they weren't there.

to the op,
i'd go with microsoft cables, but i like using parts made by the manufacturer of the system..that's just my mindset though

Everything you said in that post was false.

Everything comes with HDMI now, except for Arcade.

Monoprice cables are just as good as MS's overpriced cables.

He was talking about the HDMI cable...not the HDMI port.
