I'd get another Carvin if they let you put two volume knobs on them. I ****ing HATE having only a single volume, and not being able to roll back on the neck pickup just that tiny bit that's needed when in the middle position.

And I don't need 2 tone knobs like on a Gibson. You only need 1 tone knob. Gretsch got it right. It's a shame nobody else did.

I also want a HSH configuration, but idk how that would work with 2 volumes. One would assume you'd need 3 volumes, unless you can wire the middle pickup to just respond to one of the other's knobs.

They don't even have Rockerverbs. Just rows of Line 6's, followed by lower tier modern Marshalls, and about a thousand overpriced Mesa's that they go ape**** if you touch. Guitars are usually a hundred Strats that all play exactly the same, a bunch of signature models nobody cares about, and usually the ****tiest selection of Gibsons.

I buy strings there. And browse their used pedals. That's about it.
My GC has a decent selection of Gibson's, some assorted Gretsch guitars, quite a few PRS guitars ranging from the cheap Korean models up to the high end Custom 24's and whatnot. And of course a massive amount of strats and teles, some Schecter guitars, that always catch my eye, one day maybe I'll actually play one, and a pile of cheap guitars. They've also been growing their collection of used gear pretty quickly.

But the Taylor 414CE that I want is always in the acoustic room, I go play it everytime I go to buy strings or something

Edit: I could use a relatively easy acoustic song to pick up, amongst finals time I've really had an itch to learn something new.

I'd like an HSH combination as well. Would be nice to have that versatility.
Also guys!
The strings I did testing for a bit ago are finally going to be released at NAMM! I highly recommend everyone at least checking out a set, they're really awesome.

What are they?

I'm getting really pissed off at the 4th string DR puts in their packs of Pure Blues. I've been going through them like a mother ****er. I've adjusted my bridge saddle, taken 800 grit sandpaper to the groove, drowned it in graphite, and they still break CONSTANTLY. It's only the 28 gauge ones too. If I hop down to the 26 gauge ones, they have fret-grooves within a week, and by the end of the month, they are just completely obliterated if they even last that long. So it's kind of a lose-lose.

It makes me sad too, because I really like the feel and durability of every other string in the pack. Those D's are just really poorly made. So I think it's time to switch to something new.

D'addario. I'm not sure what the name of them will be yet but I'll be finding that out soon. I tried a set of the 10's and LOVED them. Lots of tension (not too much) but buttery smooth and they sounded incredible.
I've been using purely d'addario strings for like 6 years now lol

This is a very fun song to play.

And for strings, I may grab another pack of D'addarios for my Agile once my Elixirs break down (which I actually grew to really like once the coating wore down). I keep going back to D'addario though, for some reason.

I feel like most strings, especially DR, feel phenomenal out of the box. I'm concerned with how long they hold up before corroding and sounding dead. If I were to replace strings once a week, I'd use Ernie Ball 11s over Pure Blues

I'm not the biggest fan of DR strings. Felt dead to me when I tried them so eh. I've used their acoustic as well, not a fan.
D'addario seem to last the longest from what I've used. That's why I've stuck with them forever. Also, let me say, 10's on my tele. I use a light top/heavy bottom set for my other guitars (10-52) and a heavier set for my baritone.

Hey guys!

I'm in need of a bit of assistance. I'm looking for a gigging amp, most likely a combo, that can be quiet enough for small venues but also be loud when I need it to be. I'm playing mostly hardcore and other heavy subgenres, but I'm just not very familiar with all the different brands. Price range is between $400-500.

Does sound fun to play. Might look this up later.

I love DR's. Well, I love the DR Pure Blues (nickel) strings, at least. They sound and feel phenomenal and I've had the least amount of breaking problems with them so far. I also play with .11's on my Schecter.

For acoustic, I use Elixirs. They last forever and still sound great. The Light set with my J-45 sounds incredible.

FFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

I'll do it when I'm out of work.

Hopefully.

I'll be driving for an hour before I get to my destination for the weekend.

I still have an hour left of work.

I will probably forget

Just so everyone here knows, GC will apply their coupons to Fender, Ibanez, Marshall, etc. in store, regardless of their online coupon exclusions. If the store doesn't want to honor your coupons, you can call and they'll accept it over the phone.

/raised hell and found a lot of **** out. Time to buy an Ibanez.

I mean, they'll pretty much honor ANYTHING. They all work off of commissions and generally bust their *** to sell whatever they can.

That's about all the praise I can give them. If you find something there that you really want, it's not all that hard to get a hundy or two knocked off.

As with any major retail store, enough *****ing will yield you exactly what you want.

Christmas and my birthday (8 days apart) came early this year.

The guitar that I've been drooling over for a few months, my dad bought me. I'm ****ing blown away. He also got me a VHT overdrive pedal to go along with my VHT Classic 18

Pretty axes are pretty. I've learned to despise those trems though. But that's me.

New phone upgrade in a few days and xmas shopping this paycheck, but next paycheck I'm going to give Agile guitars a try. I save too much, time to blow some hard earned cash on myself for once. Going in expecting to replace the pups. Never had a les paul, but itching to get a copy for cheap from them and seeing how they are. I've only heard good things, and the complaints I've read about them were bloody stupid. Going for an AL-3000 or up. I'll put a hold on getting my mustang set up as well as new pups for my RG. I'm a new guitar day junkie. Must exercise the right.
