Anyone with an opinion read this

I'm not really familiar with Dye or Proto Markers, from what I've read and all the "hear say" they're good stuff. I've been offered a second hand PM5 with a Virture Board and a couple other aftermarket upgrades (feedneck, trigger,) and a new ultralite frame for about $500. It seems like a good deal and a big step up from my 03 cocker which is heavily upgraded but non-electronic. From all the research I've gathered that they make ultra lite frames for the PM6 and it pretty much matches the DM6, does this mean the ultra lite frame for the PM5 will make it similar to the DM5 or does it just look better, or is it more of a comfort issue? Does the PM5 ultra lite frame have a better board than the virtue for the PM5? I couldn't find alot of information on the PM5 ultra lite so I have come here to get more opinions.

The PM5 ultralight frame is just like the frames for the PM6 and the DM6. It just fits the PM5. They are great because they are ergonomic and have a board already installed. I couldn't tell if you meant the frame was already installed on the gun and had a virtue board, or if you meant the ultralight frame came with the gun. Either way you're getting a steal. An upped PM5 can sell for 500 by itself, and with the ultralight fram you can either sell it and make some cash, or install it on the gun and see how you like it. But I say take the deal because you're getting one hell of a bargain.

It is all the same grip frame, just has holes in different places to fit the gun.

After re-reading this, I saw that it was a great deal. Go for it man, the frame alone is half of the price!

Deffinently buy it bro. The IL frame for the PM5 is lighter, smaller, and comes with a board in it. Most stock PM5's are going for 500, so i would DEFINENTLY buy it!!!!

The entire hysterics aside, I used to own a fully upped Orry with an e2 and now must say that my PM is a better gun. I'm not saying that a Cocker is slow, its just a PM/DM is more refined. With all the upgrades in my sig I don’t know that I could possess a better gun...however, I could be wrong.

That is a very nice deal. I think you should go for it. I just recently bought my pm5 with ul frame for $600, right before the PM6 price drop, but I have no regrets. I love my PM5 and I really love the UL frame.
