Adam Geis sold out his friends and team to play for the Iron Men to the tune of: (Keep in mind this is speculation and not confirmed, but I'd be willing to bet it's pretty spot on)
2 Dye NT's ($3K)
3 Event plane tix ($750)
8 Practice plane tix ($2K)
Assorted Dye gear. ($1K)
Approximate Total Sell Out Package: $6,750.
It basically breaks down to $1,000 per player. I guess we were all worth about a G a piece to Mr. Geis when he decided to sign the deal.
Lucky for me, all of my current teammates and myself value each other at far more than a G a piece.
Some players are team players, some players are contract players.
Regardless, Adam is where Adam wants to be and I'd rather him be playing with the Iron Men if that's where his heart is. The Iron Men are a great team, and he is a great player. I'm sure he will fit in well there, and hopefully for his sake, they will win some pro tournaments while he is around so he has something to show for it all.

Do most pro players still have full time jobs? I looked and first place for psp pro is 12,000. Not a lot of money...

yes 90% of pro players have full time jobs. and $12,000 is alot of money compared to what most tournaments pay. your correct it isnt much money but its better than $0

Thats pretty unfair to say about him considering he is a stand up guy and has a $80,000 bill hanging over his head from college. When you can live the dream of playing paintball for free with some legends of the game, in san diego, i do not blame him at all for leaving. Good luck adam! I wish the best to you bud

And it would be cool if people who were totally uneducated to the situation didn't come onto our team forum telling us what we've said is "unfair" or try telling us what actions are justifiable and what aren't. You don't have 6 plus years of time and thousands and thousands of dollars invested in our team, players and program. Nor do you know what really happened or why things transpired the way they did.
I tried to be very factual and fair in my statement earlier, and I used the gear / dollars per player analogy as a way for people to actually see what he left us for.
I would suggest keeping comments like this one to yourself when it comes to dealing with teams and the players they've lost. Especially when issues like this go multi years deep and ended on a sour note.
