luxe 2.0 or geo 3

missed all of this season due to having both knee's operated on... but i sold my gun at the end of last year and was going to buy a g6r but never did once i found out i needed two operations. now im looking and im falling in love with the luxe 2.0 every video i see with someone using it. but im from new england area and Planet Eclipse is huge up here and everyone at my home field shoots PE cuz its Upton 187 Crew's home field and they are sponsored by PE. Should I go against the grain and go with a luxe 2.0 or go with the local and reliable geo 3?

Shoot each, then decide which you like best. Im sure there has to be someone with a Luxe at the field at some point.

DLX has a tech hub in PA in the unlikely event you have issues with your Luxe. Shot Geo's and prefer my Luxe over it.

i just came from a geo and bought a luxe. I will never shoot another geo unless i land a Planet Eclipse sponsorship. The difference in smoothness and sound signature is unmatchable

Both are great markers
That's a tough one
Geo3 is lighter and not a air hog
I would wait till next year and see what pops up if your looking to buying new

There is no gun out there that shoots as smooth as the luxe. I like the new geos but the luxe feels better in the hands, softer sound signature, smoother, better detents, better barrel and the luxe is way sexier. The real thing that has kept me with luxes for so long is how well they hold their value. Show me another gun thats going on 6 years old that you can still get $750-$800 consistantly and it has been like that for the past year. The geo3 will cost 800 in about 4 months you watch nothing depreciates like a planet eclipse gun (minus a car). The only thing the geo3 has the luxe beat on is efficiency.

Dayteam, I agree with what you say. But not on efficiency, I'd love to see efficiency test on a few 2-3 luxes and 2-3 geo3. Because I highly doubt thta sthe geo3 get more then 8 pods and a hopper, wich is what I was getting with my 1.5.

Don't wanna argue, simply stating what i've seen from my eyes (:

Id say the luxe 2.0 over the geo3. I do love the geo3's lcd board with i do think all gun's in this price range should have by now. but the luxe's speaker actauly makes programing alot easyer as long as you have the voice on. i do like the feel of the luxe over the geo3 as well, the geo has a good over all feel but its purge thing is located ing in the midle under the brarrel, with drove me insane, while the luxe just feels perfect in your hands. ill also say you can get to the eyes, and egine without any tools on a luxe. id like to say that the luxe is still a smoother shooting gun and is guiter. lastly imo the luxe looks so much better than the geo3. Im also with jmarotte, i don't belive that the geo3 is much more efishent that the luxe sense the 2 had very simulare efishency to the luxe.

Oh come on now! Up until this last sentence I figured you were typing quickly on a phone or something... but obviously you're not even trying to spell correctly. lol

Back on topic: IMHO buy a Luxe 1.0 in good shape. Spend $100 on 2.0 core. Profit.

thanks for all the feedback everyone i think im going to go with a new luxe 2.0 ive owned a geo and ego already and can always pick up a used one at the field as a backup if i have to but the smoothness and sound of a luxe has me sold... now to decide on a color scheme

Only thing I like about the geo3 over the luxe is the board. I am not a huge can of the luxe board but honestly once you have it set where you need it, there isn't much need for messing with it again.

If your local field has tons of sponsored pe guys you should be able to get a geo3 cheap off them used. I like the light weight and thin geo feel. It shoots better than the 2.1 for sure. They are pretty ugly guns tho, i would really like to see pe putting out polished markers. I recommend the luxe over the geo3 for my tastes and preferences. If you can get a used geo3 cheap grab that if not and your purchasing new go with a luxe. If you change your mind and want something else you can trade and everyone else will have to add so you will end up with money back in your pocket.

Luxe>Geo

But I hate geos. If a gun isn't efficient it'd better be smooth as HHH. Since they aren't, I'm unhappy.

perfect thread for myself to chime in on, ive had my LUXE since early 2009 but due to sponsorship i now have to shoot a GEO3. my thoughts i love and i mean love my LUXE nothing shoots like it, IMO best feeling and shooting marker on the market and the best support. the GEO3 is nice because the weight but it still does not feel or shoot like a LUXE. i posted over on the PE Forum i like the GEO but it has a huge spot to fill before i love it!

Hey you play at fox4? I'm in the RI area, I'll be at NPS event5 this sunday. If you want to shoot a GEO3 then you can shoot mine and see if you really like it that much. Personally I owned a luxe 1.5, geo2.1, and a CSL and I still prefer the geo. If you want to shoot a 3 though i'll have one so it'll help you decide!

I'm not a PE fanboy as I have obviously owned a luxe, but I can not disagree with you more. My vicious geo will still be worth 1000-1300 for the next 6-7 months. You must be thinking of DYE, or something lol. Ego 11's are 2 seasons old and still tearing up the field, as well as getting solid trades. Luxes value is solid though, it's because they don't change much.
