so, i screwed my tank into my etek4 and shot it a little, but when i took it off it was really hard to take of and the regulator of the tank unscrewed and scared the crap out of me.
now the regulator is stuck inside of my asa and wont come out. plz help and is that supposed to happen.

yeah air went everywhere, scared the **** out of me, the tank didnt fly though. but now the regulator is stuck to the asa. any idea how to get it off

well with the tank off, i don't think it even matters if the asa is open since it would have vented out with the tank. but turn on the gun with the eyes off and pull the trigger a few times to depressurize it for sure. you should just hear the solenoid clicking.

after that i'd clamp down on the gun and use the flats on the reg with an adjustable wrench to twist off. couple drops of blue loctite on the regulator/tank threads. a drop of gun lube on the regulator/asa oring

Okay i will try that. but isnt loctite a kind of oil and wont the tank blow up if i fill it, and i would teflon tape work just as well

Loctite is a glue, not an oil.

Let's your local pro shop/field handle removing and install the reg. This is something you do not want to get wrong messing with...

That's actually pretty true. You probably crossed the threads already in order for this to happen, but if you didn't, it's likely you'll shred the threads on your ASA. Probably will still wind up happening, but they've got a better chance of getting it all sorted without anything breaking.

yeeeeaaaah, maybe that's the wiser course. take it to your local shop/field. even if they do the exact same thing, they can at least inspect the threads and pressure test it while it's there. if you bought the tank there, they may not even charge you.

Did you ever turn off the asa? If not try doing so.

If this does not work, as a said above, take it to a proshop.

Thank you so much, with a wrench i was able to get the regulator off of the asa. I was so scared it was broken

check those threads son!
have the parts and threads inspected before reassembly
there's a reason this happened. make sure it doesn't happen again.
