I eat lots of kraft dinner (thats what we call kraft mac and cheese up here in Canada) which I can usually get for about 75 cents a box. Depending on what I feel like I'll either eat it plain, throw in a can of tuna, or throw in frank's + kraft parmesan.

I also eat lots of minute rice and whatever the cheapest 'ramen' style thing is when I'm at the grocery store.

So I don't die of malnutrition, I take vitamins and drink lots of skim milk.

What I've been eating:

I buy the square ramen at walmart dirty cheep.

Than theres the upgraded ramen called chow mein. I combine them.

Than I go to panda express and grab handfulls of soy sauce and hot chili sauce.

I don't use the flavor packets becasue they give you aids.

I than put the chili sauce and soy on the ramen.

I eat it.

and wish my mom was around to cook me **** that tastes better.

Banquet Homestlye Bakes are amazing, just pop them in the oven for a half hour or so and you have food for three or four. Only cost $3 at Walmart. My favorite type is the chicken and mashed potatoes. I'll probably have that tonight actually.

i cook occasionally, my country is always on cooking. We also do cheap taco nights which are way easy.

El Paso Taco kit

1lb. ground beef

tomato sauce

"Sofrito"= http://www.elcolmadito.com/%5CArte%5...itoGoyaG. gif

Finely shredded Colby jack cheese (or any u prefer)

Refined beans

Just follow instructions on the taco kit, but season the beef w/ sofrito and add about 3 spoons of tomato sauce (or ketchup) whichever u prefer.

Dunno if any of yall have tried the Digiorno Flatbread melts yet, but they're pretty good. Microwave in like 3 minutes, they cost like $2.50 or $3 but it's worth it IMO.

For good measure, picture of girl overly excited about the flatbreads compliments of google.

Edit- I just realized how creepy that picture really is

Low carb wraps, roast beef/ turkey lunch meat, and condiments provide a few cheap lunches.

if you are pretty tight w/ schedule in college you should try making a "spread" straight out jail-style aha... no but they're good. use a couple packs of noodles, hot cheetos, meat/pork, sauce... uhhh!

All I had in my tiny as dorm room this year was a mini fridge and microwave so I could never make myself a decent meal. It sucked.

But next year I have a full size kitchen (minus an oven) so I should be able to make a lot of good ****.

Edit: And the only grocery stores around me are Harris Teeter (Expensive as hell. I drained my wallet going there one time.) and a Piggly Wiggly (Cheap but ghetto as ****. All of the college students are told to stay away because one time this year some dude pulled a gun on a college kid while he was exiting the store and forced him into his car. Plus its in the center of one of the most ghetto areas in Charleston.)

Anybody know any good recipies that you can make with only a microwave.
Walk/bike/bus/get a ride down to safeway at campbell and broadway and stock up, not toooo far really, and much better prices than any of the places on campus... Even a normal gas station would be cheaper for just cans of soda, than the on campus store.

And if I'm not mistaken, you can check out pans to use at the front desk to use in the kitchen. So if you don't mind cooking a meal in the dorm with a ****load of people around, you aren't limited to the microwave. I was too paranoid/anxiety prone and **** when I lived in the dorms though to do that myslef....

In the microwave you can cook rice. Cook some canned soup or vegetables of your choice and top the rice with it... Kind of limited with only a microwave. Basically think of things that can be cooked in the microwave that you like and can be combined... and not be totally gross

My dad says he lived for months on popcorn and vitamins when he was in college...

Moving into my dorm in a month or so. I have full kitchen with oven, fridge, microwave, toaster, quesadilla makers, smoothie machine, panini maker, grilled cheese maker, waffle maker, and a magic bullet. All that combined with an unlimited meal plan.....hell yeah.
