All alcohol does in society today is cause problems. Drunk driving, disturbances, poisoning. Why is it still legal? Doesn't even taste that good, unless you get fancy drinks that taste like candy which are just designed for you to suck down more

wrong. What's wrong with hanging out at a bar with buddies watching a game? Or hanging out at a friends place drinking some beer while playing xbox? Not everyone drives drunk n sheet.

It's pretty much only due to history. Alcohol, by any measure, is one of the most dangerous drugs out there. People have been so brainwashed that no one knows what a drug is anymore though.

Not trolling. I don't think alcohol should be illegal, but it causes a huge number of deaths every year, directly or indirectly, its linked to violence and criminal behavior, it can be addictive and its withdrawals can cause death. Not to mention how impairing it is to motor skills and judgement. Statistically it would be hard to call it anything but the worlds most dangerous drug by any criteria.
Meanwhile everyones favorite illicit drug marijuana does none of these things yet it remains illegal. Everyone laughs at what a failure prohibition was but of course current drug policy sure is effective
