pm6 supposed to shoot air out of hole in backcap?

I just got a pm6 yesterday. And when i shoot it it shoots air out of hole in tge backcap
Is this supposed to happen? Or is there a faulty o ring?

It's one or both of the orings on the very back of the bolt, change both of them, give them a little live and you'll be all good

So went to local shop. Replaced back 2 o-rings. Now leaks but still shoota
Lubed it and replaced 3 orings. Still leaks. Any suggestions?

Are the Oring's ripping after you re-inspected after firing? Just replace all of the orings on the bolt and be very generous with the lube and try again.

No all the orings are still intact after replacing them
D-wiz the guy who made the alien guns is the mechanic at my local shop
Ima have him take a look at it on Wednesday.

Don't mean to state the obvious, but besides the tail o-rings, have you replaced the two #20 o-rings on the back cap? Between those four o-rings, there, really isn't anywhere else it could be leaking from.

If you just got your PM6 (which is a great gun for the money, btw), its a really good idea to just go ahead and replace all your o-rings anyway... there's no telling how long they've been in there. The nice thing about the fuse bolt is that if it's leaking, there is almost a 100% chance it's an o ring or lube problem. You don't have to worry about any cup seals or anything complicated like that.... and it's all stuff that you can find at a good hardware store.

Recently, I just went to McMaster-Carr and bought myself 100 of every o-ring (with the exception of some of the urethane o rings, which I only got like 10 of) that I need for my PM8, and it cost me about as much as the o-ring kit from Dye. O-rings are cheap as hell, just replace them, re-lube and you should be good to go.

The only O ring that is a real PITA is the internal, urethane, o-ring inside the top hat. If you have small fingers it's not too bad, otherwise, find someone that does

when you shoot gas is supposed to come out the back cap. its the air over flow. it wont affect the gun in anyway.

first, my pm6 always shot a bit of air out the hole in the back between each shot. second, if it is leaking badly, make sure the orings are the correct size for the bolt tail. there is a very slightly smaller oring that is often confused for the one you want.

Is it leaking when your first air up the Pm6 or just when you shoot? if its only when it shoots then its normal. also make sure to double check the LPR and HPR settings. the only way to completely stop air from venting out is a TechT L7 bolt. it has a cap and prevents air from flowing out.

Problem solved. Me and local tech replaced o-rings and generously applied lube.
