Anthrax have you shot a proton? IMO a luxe feels a tad bit better. The proton is just a tad louder but just as smooth and more efficient.

IMO once u get past $500 u don't get near what u pay for. A fancy case some Allen keys and a better barrel. Big deal. Shoot what u want. I'm not knocking anybody for their high priced guns. Hell I use to keep 6 guns from a price range of $750-1800 at all times. But those days are over. I'm 27 yrs old now with a full time job working in a prison and a part time job at a Walmart warehouse. I have better things to spend money on.

Sure a $1500 gun has some things on mine such as accessories and ergonomics ( opinion ). But I'm comfortable with my $300 gun and I know if somebody shoots it they will be impressed.

a luxe will kill this gun hands down, its not a competion at all...hands down to luxe, you are comparing two guns that aren't even close to each other it would more be like

Proton vs 12 Rail
Proton vs Mini
Proton vs etha
Proton vs etek 3/4 lt

Unless you have shot the gun, don't talk. Its useless and makes you look ignorant. The day has long since passed where a $300 gun could not shoot like a $1200 gun. Now they can, and they do.

I remember people complaining about the ion when it first came out too. "What a piece of cheap junk, it can't compare to my "brand x" gun. Then I'd go to tournaments, woodsball games etc and see people with ions doing just as much damage as everyone else. Heck there are still a lot of people using upped ions that shoot as good as anything out there.

Now if that could happen with the ion........imagine what a proton can do? It's a much better gun than the ion ever was.

Reliability is...questionable. Obviously at 5 times the price of this gun, it SHOULD be better. But in terms of what people actually need, the value is damn worth it.

Called and talked to a rep from Virtue today. He said that they had either a Aura or a Proton in and were "looking at it". Hopefully they will make a board/eye board soon. i'd like a little more adjustability in the board. (although, its really pretty good out of the box) Also called and left a message on Walter's voicemail about making a Violent trigger for this thing.

This is honestly one of the first guns I've owned where I legitimately can't think of anything I want to change (and that says a lot), but it's always cool for people to have options

What's the operating pressure of the gun exactly? Is it possible to put a rubber foregrip on it? The winter will be cold and so will that metal foregrip.

There isn't a place to add a gauge to the marker. You would need a BL Marq STYLE of pressure tester that replaced the bolt. Then you would be able to see the pressure of the marker. I read somewhere that the marker works off of 150psi. But I have no way of measuring that......
