Angus I'm guessing your enlisted? Is the Army lifestyle taking a lot of strength out of you? Did you detrain that much or were you sipping spoiled breast milk before? Curious, you were putting up some impressive numbers before dawg

There's a 64 year od man at my gym who's still doing weighted pullups

Guy asked me to leave the plates on the shrug machine when I'm done. As I walk away he looks down at the plates and say "good grief"

I've detrained a good amount but nothing that I can't get recover from fairly quickly. I'm also training with no belt or knee wraps or even chalk for the first time in a few years so the weights are naturally lighter. I'm not pushing myself super hard right now, just getting the movements in and going with really short rest periods because I don't like spending time in the gym here; it is very crowded with subpar equipment and asinine rules.

I plan to get back to my original strength level, at a lower weight class (181) by the time this meet in July rolls around. I should have about a month to legitimately train for the meet once I get home in June. I'll run a quick peaking cycle and see how I do. Oh, and I plan on competing in my first ever strongman competition the weekend after the meet.

I ran around on the treadmill for 30 minutes, did 2 sets of 20 crunches and did some light free-weight work.

Holy **** my back hurts today. No idea why either. Attempted to lift and it didn't go well. Even light hack squats and leg presses hurt too bad.

First day at the gym, did some leg presses and some other arm work out machines, freaking sore. Went for 2 hours, I have a feeling I won't bulk up on this vegan diet i'm on.

You're right, you won't bulk up on a vegan diet. If you're eating vegan because you think it's healthier than eating meat, then I feel sorry for you. If you eat vegan because of "moral" reasons then... I don't know what to say. Also, squat instead of leg press.


Today I just squatted, pressed, BTN pressed, and curled. I'm getting back into it after about a 2 month hiatus.

I don't really have set routine at the gym, I just hop from machine to machine.
Good stress reliever, and better then staying indoors.

edit: just got back from 2nd session, any of you work out and then feel like you're going to puke? I feel all queazy and my arms are stiff also like shaking from actually making them work.
