2012 vs. 2013 demon?
Is there a way to tell if a demon is actually a 2013 model?

Is there a way to tell the difference from the outside? I want to try one but have no clue if its a 2013'd or a true 2013.

The back cap on the 2013's stick out farther then the old 2012's did. That's usually how you can tell just by looking at it.

^not completely true. I have upgraded 2012s that have the bigger back cap. That is not exclusive to 2013. Only way to tell if it was born as a 2012 or 2013 is to check the serial number with Frank for the most part. Unless you have an Avenger series gun, those were all 2013s.

I have a demon with 2013 internals. When I got it, it didn't have the bolt spring. I have been using it for over a month now without the spring and it shoots amazing. So, is the spring optional?

The spring isn't necessary. The marker functions fine without it.

It helps push the bolt back forward, so probably increased efficiency..

You would think that would be true. But I get better efficiency with no spring than my teammate gets with a spring in his.
Would be nice to know what Frank has to say in regards to this.
