I remember the TSgt in charge of my training flight for 5lvl school told us to **** up before we got any rank. He got in trouble for blow or something but still made it to E7 (just got promoted recently). He is a damn good SrNCO. He relates to the new airmen because he isn't an "old guy". He is very respected by the lower airmen

Can't wait for ALS at the end of the year/beginning of next year.

they need to release them on blu ray. A lot of the stuff they shoot looks awesome in HD. I've had to dial back my stupid stuff spending significantly since moving to cali. I used to have asinine amounts of money left over after paying my bills but this place has ruined that. I could always cut back on my student loan repayments but I can swing making larger payments than I need to, plus it'll be less money in the long run.

No, Planet Earth reminds me too much of my ecology class in college. It was a junior/senior level class that was so insanely easy I skipped class a lot and when I didn't skip I could be found sleeping in the back row. Weds night was also drinking night so sometimes I'd roll in a little hung over or not bother going. I miss college but the professors that get offended when you fall asleep in the comfortable chairs are the worst. boring + non rigid seat = nap time.

you're a better man than I. I tried doing a semester as an electronics engineering student but felt the amount of crap they expected me to know was entirely ridiculous. Plus I hate calculus with a passion. Apparently in other engineering doctrines they don't expect you to remember so much because all the formulas are stupidly complicated. But for EE they expected you to know all sorts of them. On top of knowing how to do all sorts of math in binary and hex, how to draw different circuits from memory, and the pin outs of multiple integrated circuits which culinated in a question asking you to draw the wiring for a four digit clock and having it count up. I knew within the first week that I didn't want to finish that degree path but I was too dumb to drop and add everything and find a new major until well after the point of no return.

My degree is a lot easier thankfully. Maybe its just because I enjoy it, but I don't find it too difficult most of the time.

I've always enjoyed designing and building stuff, but when it came to electronics I wanted to stab somebody with a soldering iron. I think mechanical would be fun but I'd still have to get past my loathing of higher math. but I'm also sort of lazy. If I feel like something isn't worth the amount of time it will take me to learn it, I won't learn it. I did it all the time when studying. I'd rather miss a couple points than spend the time to memorize some stupid chart or drawing.

Studying is really only in the math for me. I hate math, but I push through.

The main classes are easy. Everything clicks in those classes.
