Dragun "The One" maintaince

Well, guy's I thanks to Darksypher who told me how to take off the microline on the one I bring to you the step by step maintaince for "the One". Yes, there are many people out there that DONT KNOW HOW TO DO THIS. So here we go:

Picture so we all know what I am talking about (thx BAKA):

You will need:
A) Lube I used Shocker Dow33 lube
B) Paper towel
C) Pliers
D) 30 min

1) Remove the microline from the Cylinder
its a quick release fitting, all u do is push up on the bottom of the fitting and pull out the hose. its simple - Darksypher

2) Remove the cylinder, ram and mainspring

3) take a paper towel and clean them (if they have anything on them at all, which I highly doubt)

4) Now take the Dow 33 ( I guess Dow 55 would also be ok) and apply it to the O-ring's found on the ram. There are 2 of them One is stationary the second is mobile. I also applied Dow 33 on the metal part between the 2 o-ring's, extra lube dont hurt
Also, clean out the chamber where the main spring is and also apply a small amount of lube on the walls of the chamber, then put some lube on the main spring

5) Take off the Front VA, I removed the stock green o-ring's and replaced them with white/clear ureatain one's. I wanted a better seal. When and if you replaced the O-ring's apply lube to the orings to get a even better seal. Put the VA back and secure it as it was.

6) Take the bolt if you have the stock bolt and also apply lube to it around the O-ring's and the rest of the body of the bolt so that there is less traction.

Now that take's care of the "Body" Next is Reg's. I have a Bob long torpedo reg on my One like most of you out there do so here we go.

7) Bob long torpedo reg
Pretty much I dont have much to add follow this link scroll down some and you will find a explanation on how to do this.
http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.p...hreadid=514161
What I will add is that my Torpedo reg was BONE FREAKING DRY! When I took it apart! The spring in the torpedo had some orange plastic on it and it chipped off and was rolling around in my reg!!!

8) Stock LPR, now everyone say's that the stock LPR sux. Well I took that apart also! It is built pretty much like the torpedo reg.
When I opened it up IT WAS BONE DRY! I can now say that I understand why it isn't performing like it should, it wasn't lubed at all! You lube it as you would a Bob long torpedo reg. It is basically the same only smaller.

*To take out the piston on the reg's just screw the adjusting screw all the way in, you will be able to take it out easier.

It is 1:30 am CET (euro time) and I am finishing this up, I cant try out my one yet to see if anything has changed but I will do this first thing in the morning. And I will let you guy's know if there is anything different. I dont have a chrono, but I will easily tell if the One feel's different. I know my marker was quiter when I lubed the ram we will see what will happen when I lubed everything.

EDIT: Before this I had FSDO, if that is gone after I did all this then I will be a happy boy. But gona know in the morning

T1 stock LPR rebuild

Many of the problems that occur with the One marker can be attributed to the stock LPR.

1. Inconsistant velocity. This can be caused by an unstable LPR. If the LPR isn't consistant, then the force driving the ram won't be consistant. If the ram isn't consistant, the valve won't open consistantly. Then you have velocity fluctuations.

2. Low velocity. If the LPR isn't flowing at a good rate, (even if the pressure is correctly set) the ram will starve for air, and barely open the valve, if at all.

3. Leaky solenoid valve. This happens when the solenoid vents excess pressure out the right side. If the regulator seat is leaking, it will allow the full pressure coming out of your inline reg to pass right through to your solenoid.

Rebuilding the stock LPR is very easy, and the parts can be obtained 24 hours in most cities. The stock LPR doesn't use a separate valve pin and reg seat like most others. This reg uses an automotive tire valve. You can find these at convenience stores, auto parts stores, bicycle shops, etc. You will need a valve tool (which is a small tube with a notch cut in the end of it) to remove the old stem and replace it. Some chrome valve caps have one of these molded on the top of them. Take a look at the tires on your car, you just might have 4 valve tools rolling around with you all the time. To replace the valve, unscrew the front portion of the stock LPR before the hose fitting. Look directly at the hex shaped section remaining on the marker. You will see a tiny pinhole that aligns with the hose fitting, and in the center you will see the valve. Using your valve tool, gently unscrew it and replace it with a new one. Screw the front part of the reg back on, and back the adjustment screw out a few turns. Gas up your marker, and adjust the LPR as you normally would. You're back in business.

Here is a photo, sorry about the poor quality.

The valve core is the part you need to remove and install in place of the old one in your LPR.

A quick little trick I like to do to prevent FSDO is to push the bolt forward enough so it cracks open the valve a bit, don't try this with paint though. It forces the bolt and ram to move to get rid of any sticking that might have happened as it sat around and cracking open the valve for a bit makes all the regs recharge.

While there are several great threads out there, I think there are already too many stickies. Perhaps merging them into one of the existing stickies, or linking them from one would be best.
