new omen vs evo

ok tell me if this makes sense...........

The accuracy of a gun isnt really in the gun but with the right paint in the right barrel. So lets say we put a pipe system on both the Omen and EVO. Now they are both accurate.

Without PDP the Omen is capped at what, 17 pbs? and the evo is capped at 20 with ace on. So about the same speed for both markers.

Omen has cam fed, Evo has ACE.

Both weigh about the same.

So if i put a detonator on an EVO, wouldnt they preform just about the same? I mean is closed bolt that much of a difference?

oh yea btw, does the detonator have a gauge on it? if not how u guyz know what pressure its at?

Yea makes sense, then you get into electronic ant-chop vs. mech anti-chop which has been touched on before.

The det doesn't have a gauge, but the pressure your running at isn't im[prtant or relevant to the markers operation.

evil makes asas for the omen that have a gauge....you can always go that route....... knowing your normal operating pressure is a key thing to me...... helps to get the gun set right and the same everytime......

well eviloman....your boy didnt have it set right is all i know......... if the eyes are dirty (ei. paint) then it will read that there is a ball in the chamber and allow it to fire......thats why he was chopping ....... with clean eyes you will not chop....the eye system is A+ in my book....have never chopped with that gun...... and if he wasnt even able to adjust the trigger by himself then i would 99% guarantee that the reason he was chopping was due to user error...... nothing wrong with an omen .....but dont try and give an evo a bad rep for things beyond the evo's control

OMG!ok now let me tell yall something. The evo is a very very nice gun.it has the best components on it that would be on any other 1000 dolla gun.20 bps is really really fast ok and if i ever saw an omen shoot that fast i would sh!@ myself.i have shot an omen and i can only tell u is that i love the EVO so much more.the trigger pull for the evo is i think is just a lil bit faster.i like the omen ok im not trying to flame or diss it at all,its just that the evo is so much more than that.i have shot timmys,angels,dm5s and everything of the sort and the evo is just as good as all of those.take this thread and combine it with all the other evil omen and evo threads and youll know that they are not much in comparison.I just think for 250 bucks the evo is the best gun u can get that is not over 500 or 1000.Oh and like i said it can always keep up with those dm5s and timmys any day of the week.

pirahnaman04 - Teh no. Omen is a better marker stock IMO than the Evo.

Let me make this clear right now, You can't shoot 20 bps, no one really can without bounce and/or ramping, with that said and done, the pro's and con's of each marker.

Omen-
Metal Trigger Frame
Better Stock Barrel
Detonator Regulator
Lighter Trigger

Only thing worth mentioning about the EVO is ACE, and the fact it's cheap. But an Omen is a mere $80 more.
Pirahna EVO + Detonator Reg = about $315 all brand new.
Evil Omen = $330 brand new.

Up to you.

completely not true..... you show me a video of an evo doing 20bps and ill kiss you're a$$..... i owned both an evo and an omen.... i still have an omen.... i do not have an evo anymore.... any questions??? but in all seriousness... the evo is not a bad marker by any means.... i suggest it to anyone looking to get into painball..... in fact i solely am responsible for at least 7 evo purchases... and thats just the ones im aware of..... im glad you like your evo.... but you really didnt need to bring this thread back from the dead

well all i can tell u is the only vids ive seen are on jayloo.com but hey if u want me to make a video of it i will but i cant go 20 bps with my fingers.there are people that can rip 20 bps like my friend but not me but hey i dont care as long as the gun is capable of doing such things.Yo but anyways im not diissing the omen to tell u all the truth i like the omen.i have shot one and played with one and its a really good marker.i just dont like the autococker markers but thats just me.but yes i have seen people rip 20 balls a second on the evo with a boss blade trigger.

well not to toot my own horn.... i made the fastest evo vid..... i still have it here somewhere but i took it off my webspace....... and it was no where near 20bps..... not because i cant hit it.... because the software wont allow it.... i would be willing to bet that its impossible to get an evo to shoot 20bps consistently for more than 2 balls...... not bashing the evo either.... i like the evo.... just trying to state facts.... and i know from experience
