The PicoCocker!

This one started off as a first gen PGP that had seen better days for sure. The feed tube was mashed, the valve was completely full of what appeared to be blue loctite and the hammer's portion of the bottom tube had been distended way out of shape by a bad mounting of a back bottle donkey.

It had a vertical adapter and back bottle plumbed to a tapped daisy 12gram.....not good.

After the automation was taken care of and proved I added the centerfeed, cocker style ball detent and a little hotrod flavor. The sides were built up with brass tube quarters and then bondo'd. Once several layers of fill and blend primer were sprayed, sanded, proof sprayed, resanded, sworn at, sprayed and sanded again, it was sprayed with silver basecoat and baked at 160F for 24 hours to harden it up.

When the basecoat was ready I laid the metalic blue graphics vynil flames on the gun and tank (note: the tank wasn't baked for safety reasons) and finished everything with three coats of acrylic clearcoat.

I chose the blue pneus from spares that I had on hand and they look pretty good. The valve and hammer got the usuall 'Hotting Up' and a PPS style grip frame was made to suit.

The Highlight of the build for me though is the backblock setup. It's designed to take a custom turned delrin bolt with a centralized pull pin. It's pretty damned cool to see that backblock whangin' back and forth when you're realy laying into it.

Yeah it'd certainly work well that way though I laid it out this way as something of a machine pistol. I have an old VL1000...yes you read that right. It's a VL100 with automation. Very few were made and VL went to the now familiar 200/2000 series for more capacity. Anyway, with the 100rd agitated hopper it's near to perfect for tight bunker work. it can be shot one handed with ease, can be snuggled right up to a bunker and would make room to room scenario work a breeze.

I did slap a UMB on it and try the 3.5oz off a bottomline. It was comfy, very compact and would work well too...but just wasn't as cool to me.....ya know?

Is the trigger dual acting in that it drops the sear and at the same time actuates the 3-way similar to that of a cocker, but not the same motion?

Yes, just like an autococker or PPS marker.

not_manbot_revenge: Can do on the dual detents, but it's a brass and in this case...bondo'd gun...not ano for this puppy. It is however PERFECT for custom paintwork.

Also...what the heck does your nik mean? It's one of the more unique I've come across lately.....

Dragonphreak: Yes. I did the body fill onthis one mainly "cuz' I could" but also so I could showcase the cut vynil graphics. With the multiple coats of clear, you can't snag an edge and the whole gun is smoooooth.

How much would that cost to do to a PGP, with the exception of it being E-Bladed?

Roger, it's a powdercoating. Brass can't be anodized.

Heh...that's my fault. It's the angle really, it's aimed over her shoulder but I was right above her when I snapped it.

FYI: It's not powdercoat. It's automotive basecoat/clearcoat with cut vinyl graphics under another couple layers of clearcoat.
