I was thinking of trying out pump but I'm used to playing semi. I am stuck between getting a phantom or a sniper. Any suggestions? I like the 12 gram on a phantom but I don't like the 10 ball capacity can I put a hopperon a phantom?
Ok thanks! Today I went out a bought a pocket hopper and loved it! Yet my one question is on the link fubarius posted what's the differnce between the first gun and the second one?
Pretty much Phantoms and Sniper IIs are the modern weapons of choice for playing pump paintball but if you want to help out someone who's trying to get rid of his Maverick you can get one of those. But buy some fancy paintballs to really enjoy it. By playing pump you can afford the expensive paintballs and they'll shoot straight for you.
You get all these choices to choose from and a variety of configurations but they're all the same -- every pump paintball gun is the same except for little nit-picky differences which don't mean anything.
the blitz is one of their semis. you're thinking of the kaos pump, which is people say is a great starter pump out of the box. however, you could probably find something upgraded for the same price or cheaper in the bst or on ebay.
I've used the Azodin Kaos Pump, and I own a Phantom... they're both great markers. as far as being able to get a better marker than the AKP for the same price, i don't know. I unfortunately have never tried out a sniper.

Something called the Itsam Atterofopinion (sp?)"
Though everyone has their own preferences, I would say get a Phantom. I've used my Orracle as a sniper, and I have used a friend's Phantom, and I have to say that personally the Phantom was much more comfortable to use.
With that said, either one (Phantom or Sniper) is good. The only thing you should think about is what kind of options you want. For example, do you want to play using a "stock class" configuration (i.e. feed tube and 12 gram CO2 changer) or do you want to go with an "open class" configuration (i.e. hopper and tank)?
You can get all of the options with either gun you decide to use, but be sure ask other people to see if you can try out the pumps they may have or see if your local field or pro shop may have pumps that you can try as well.
Thanks for the advice! Yet i have tried a pump at my local field and was lovin' it! I love the challenge it gives me! Yet that was with other pumps if i were to pump it would be with semi's in the woods. Is there anything i should be worried about in this situation?
Nothing to be worried about at all. Just the aim and fire. You can laugh a little as you count the money they are shooting all around you. It may be a bit intimidating at first, but it's all about timing your shots and taking aim.
The first time I played against a bunch of speedballers, I was a bit uneasy, not sure how to proceed.. but I let them go through a good 50-100 shots, pop out.. let them waste some more.. and then I would just pop out and shoot or wait for them to pop out.
I personally prefer a sniper over a phantom and I'm not a fan of 12g co2 as it is quite costly and a nuisance over a period of time. I picked up a 13/3000 tank from Guerilla w/ myth reg and it's amazing. Very small & light.
just buy a pocket hopper, play with that on your semi and if you like it get a pump
i seen a dude at hollywood sports shooting a sl94 with a pocket hopper, his buddys were shooting pumps. i asked him whats the deal? he said that how i play, i 1-ball.
