Quick question about someone flaking from a deal

I bought gold ups for a marker to sell/trade. The user "iacono112" agreed to trade me his NT and ship first. I have proof on PM's and we also talked on the phone. I marked my SL94 as pending, no longer accepting or looking at offers because I had finalized a deal with "iacono112". It's been days and hes reading my pms and not answering them, and he deleted his NT thread suddenly. Basically I lost money(in my gold ups) because he seems to be flaking on our deal without any notice from him at all. Is there anything I can do? Can I leave neg feedback? Can he receive an infraction or ban for this? I can provide proof.

I'm sorry but unless items have been shipped (gear, money, etc) no feedback may be left. Members do have the right to back out of a deal as long as nothing has exchanged hands.

Even if it costs me money, with no notice what-so-ever?

Edit: Wouldn't it make sense to leave feedback for that? So other members don't lose money too...

No. While the gold up expiring is unfortunate he was under no obligation to complete the deal as long as nothing exchanged hands.

Nope, nothing is eligible for feedback unless something changes hands.

I know how you feel, as it irritates the heck out of me when people back out after finalizing something. It sucks, but life goes on.

Man, that sure is discouraging. So in theory any user could just go around and make deals, even with equipment he/she did not have, and waste peoples gold ups and time with absolutely no interference from the Administration of PBN what-so-ever?

If a particular user did something like that, I'm sure they would get reported enough that we would notice the trend and investigate/take action. That would be a bridge we'd cross when we got there, however.
