Does the Ninja 68/45 run wider than typical 68s?

I've been running a NXE 4+1 harness with a 20oz CO2 on a remote. I decided to finally go HPA, I ended up getting a Ninja 68/45. NXE says its harness will fit up to a 68cu and there are numerous reviews on PBReview that say they have fit a 68/45 in with no problems. However, I have found that the Ninja is way to wide for the harness, I can't even force it in. The only way I'd get it in is if I rip the harness apart which I obviously won't do. Do the Ninja 68/45 tanks run wider than most other 68 tanks? or is my harness defective or something? Also, does anyone know of a 4+1 similar to the NXE (vertical pods) that will fit my tank?

Our 68 is a little wider than the typical 68. I believe it's about 4.5 inches in diameter, so maybe half an inch wider than the standard 68 sizes.

Ive had the traditional 68s and the new style 68s and have not been able to fit any of them into the NXe 4+1. The biggest Ive been able to fit into that pack is a 20oz.

It's an inexpensive pack so I'll probably try to modify it in some way so it'll fit.

I wouldnt advise putting a tank in your pack. I would try a vest of some sort. Whenever I play walk-ons there is always someone's tank that falls out of his pack. That leads to other dangerous things.

Then they need better packs..Ive never had a 20oz or a 45/45 or 48/4500 fall out of the NXe 4+1

Are we tanking about regular pod holders or a designated tank holder?

usually, it has 4 pods slots, and in the center, theres a designated tank slot. Its usually elastic and also has straps that go over top and around the tank to hold it in place
