stock ego eyes comparison question

hey guys i was wondering if virtue laser eyes are really any better then the stock eyes. i have to buy new eyes anyway and they would probably be the same price but besides the lifetime warranty from virtue and the visible light is there any performance difference between the two?

The performance difference is that the Virtue eyes will kill your battery faster. Not worth it imo.

I don't notice ANY difference in battery life between my Ego's with stock eyes and with Vritue eyes.
The only real difference is so you can see if they are working and "they look cool"

Its a nice touch to the gun, and if you need them and don't have a spare set why not?

But they perform no differently than stock eyes.

Get PE laser eyes. Virtue eyes usually won't fit properly and you'll have to use tape to hold them there.

Looks like this is resolved already, but just something to consider - it is often stated that the one real advantage to eyes that work in the visible light spectrum is that they let you know that the eyes are functional. This is true, but only to an extent. It will let you know that the emitter element of the eye harness is functional, but doesn't tell you anything about whether the receiver is functioning correctly. Your emitter may light up, but the eye harness could still dead as a dodo if the receiver is malfunctioning.

I guess knowing that the emitter is functional is better than nothing, but you just need to be aware that the eye harness can still be faulty, even if the emitter lights up.

As such, the laser eye harnesses have to be considered more for show than for any real advantage.
