New guy with questions

Ok so I am completely new to paintball. I just purchase a tippmann rap4 t68 off of ebay with a lot of extras. From the auction I got a fully assembled t68 dual feeder marker and some parts to build another marker. I have 2 questions

1. Did I get a good deal? I paid $350 which included shipping.

2. From the picture of the spare marker parts, what is missing to complete the second marker.

Your help is appreciated.

everything in the pictures was included in the auction

meh. seems like a fair to slightly high price, but you're psyched so it must've been worth it. at least you didn't buy it off rap4 because their stuff is almost always overpriced...

try the tippmann forum. the 2nd gun is obviously missing the trigger frame to start with...

thats true. rap4 sells tippmann markers. and yes, i think you might of spent a little to much on a used tippmann with rap4 add-ons. you could of gotten a t68 alpha edition plus pkg deal for the same price brand new.

this is a complete rap4 t68(gen5) dual fed marker with several upgrades, its not a tippman with rap4 parts

the 4 magazines it came with are worth over $100 themselves

i am pretty happy with the purchase and I am sure my son will be when he unwraps it tomorrow afternoon as an early christmas present

Looks like a decent deal to me, considering that Rap-4 wants about $100 more for a single new T68 on their website. It's a unique gun that does things that very few (any?) paintball guns can do (switching between magazine and hopper feed, and if you and your son are into the milsim side of paintball it will probably be a fun gun to use.

Just from looking at the picture I can tell that the 2nd gun is missing its gripframe, and I'm not familiar with the inner workings of the T-68 but I understand that it's roughly Spyder based. In that case, I don't see a bolt or mainspring, so it could be missing those as well. I would contact someone at Rap4 and maybe send them the picture to see what you need to complete it.

Oh, and Merry Christmas!

Thanks for the feed back.

My came over yesterday and opened up his christmas presents. Man he was shocked to see the t68 marker. I think he was expecting something from walmart. WE took it out and shot a few rounds using the magazine clips and then switched it over to the hopper. We went through 3 tanks and a whole case of paint. I was really happy that there was no choppin and paint exploding in the barrel. Everything went off with out a hitch.

I broke the marker down per the manual and did maintenance on it and also learned some of the things that i need to complete the second one.

I think I am going to have to turn his into an SMG because its a little to heavy for him. Looks like all i need to do is swap out the barrel

here is a video and pics

from the video, he seems to handle it fine. just collapse the stock all the way and make sure he keeps his elbow tucked in. before buying a shorter barrel, try moving the foregrip back more, or just take it off and see how he handles it.
