What's your alien settings?

I'm trying to figure out the best setting that I can use for my 09 alien independence.

LPR:3 threads showing
Dwell:14
Otherwise stock

Also, it would be great to hear from Jack on this one. The stock dwell is 12, it ranges form 1 to 40. What is the maximum dwell you would recomend.

Works pretty smooth, but I feel it can work better. I have been fiddling with settings for a little while now. I would like to find out some other people's settings so I can give em a shot. I'm not worried about effeciency, so the smoother the shot the better.

Thanks guys

I'm running a dwell of 12 on good air days and 9 on days when fills are crappy. My LPR is set pretty much the same as yours. HPR set to 290. My debounce is stock, all my other trigger settings are at 1. My BIP I raised up 2 points just for safety on paint. That's about it.

If I run dwell 9 I turn my LPR up about half a turn.

My dwell stays at 12.

LPR is set based on my rate of fire. I mostly run semi caped at 18bps.

I have found that the LPR can be set VERY low when firing/running a lower BPS.

This makes for a VERY smooth shot. There is a balance between needing to up the LPR to shoot 25 BPS on hard ramping and tuning your gun/LPR for your slower specific rate of fire.

My LPR is set for semi and the smoothest shot possible. It shoots consistent with no shoot down at 18pbs semi, but if I turn the BPS up and change the mode to ramp it has shoot down with the unadjusted LPR.

Its a balancing act. I recomend setting up your ND specifically for the rate of fire/mode you play with the most.

JACK -

what is the "point of no return" for the dwell? At what point does upping or lowering it do nothing differently? I would like to know the "function window" of the dwells high and low. Just wondering if you have done the math...?

Couldn't have said it better myself

I think if you had a guage and measured it you would find that it takes off about 10 lb in the LPR used to take 55 and now takes 50 to shoot at any BPS .
BTW - How old is you gun? If it's more than a few months old call the shop and lets make sure you are running your LPR at the absolute lowest... as that seems important to you

By low do you mean turned in?

Personally, I can't walk the trigger very fast. 13bps max. I'd like to have it set for a cap of 15bps. Insixdays how many turns from flush is your lpr in? Any recomendations for mine? I haven't gone past 4 threads showing...
