new battery and check the on/off under the barrel.. and if that doesn't work then i would look at the dwell setting. make sure its at atleast 18.. no higher then 21.

if those dont work. reset the hpr and lpr.
lpr - 5 turns.
hpr - i think its around 4-5 turns *its been a while. so i might b off*

after that. if its still not shooting. then i would look into orings.

So I should be turning turning the screw in the reg Clock wise? or counter? If i am holding the gun right side up and pointing away from me? Is that my LPR or HPR? I hate being new.

the lpr is in the back under the bolt.
the hpr is where your front hand goes.
and to turn the hpr UP, turn it counter clockwise.

When I adjust the reg screw it doesnt seem to do very much. If this helps, I can feel a little bit of air hitting my hand when im holding the gun by the grip. Seems like it is leaking out just above the trigger frame on the inside of the gun towards the knob that sits underneath the barrel?

my suggestion is take it to a shop or some1 who knows dm's and watch and ask questions as they fix your gun for you.. atleast for the first time or a few times..

makes it alot easier.

On a DM5, unscrew the front reg, counter-clockwise (unhook macroline first). Look up inside there on the gun & you should see an allen-head screw. Unscrew that & the vertical asa should come off. Don't remember if you have to remove the frame or not, but just unscrew 2 screws to remove it (careful w/ the wires).

Underneath the body, there's a set screw for that front on/off knob; unscrew it. Should be able to pull the knob out & check the o-rings.

But if there's a leak from there preventing the gun from firing, it would've been way noticable before now. A small, near inaudible leak shouldn't prevent firing completely. Might cause funky bolt cycling every few shots but not total lack of firing. Try cleaning/relubing the bolt, could be wicked bolt stick.

READ THE MANUAL! I know it sounds like common sense but trust me it helps. I found it to be a big help. Sounds like your bolt is stuck, what kind of lube are you using? If your regs are set (hpr and lpr) then it probably that. Also make sure you have the right orings on your gun and lube it. Good luck.

lol, thanks Tabs.

Yeah, reread my post. The manual is pretty vague, even when it comes to the exploded view of the gun. Thank jeebus i've had a dm5 and had replaced the on/off knob on it.
