Vice Problem UNSOLVABLE <:(

One of my friends vice has this problem explained below (NOT MY VICE):

When i fire a string of shots when i start to really walk the trigger the marker stops. I look at the OLED and it it shows that the eyes are not seeing the ball in the breech. If I deactivate the eyes and fire a shot then turn the eyes back on it will continue to shoot then stop again. It has done this with 2 different boards (Virtue/Tadao) and both 2c and 4c eyes. I also did a little test. I took it off air and moved the bolt to where it was blocking the eyes. Then walked the trigger it never stopped. I have checked for pinched wires and even have sent the thing to BLAST with no luck in finding a fix.

BLAST said it was the trigger it was off alingment. but when they sent it back to me it did the same thing right out of the box from them.

So basically when shooting string of paint fast, it stops shooting. When Eyes are off, it fires. Eyes were double checked that its cleaned.

I had the same problem with my 4C eyes and Yakuza board. Will from Tadao replaced both the 4C emitter eye and the board itself. I never actually figured out what the issue was.

When the eye was replaced it worked well for another 5 cases or so, then the problem came back. When I got the board replaced, I had the same issue after 5 cases. It was really strange though because I never had a problem in a tourney or practice...I only ever had that happen when I was shooting in my yard. Maybe it was the paint I was using? But I'm really not sure.

What do you mean stops?

Just complete stops firing, but the board is still on?

or everything shut off and/or air stops flowing?

That does sound rather odd to me.

Question: Did you look at the eyes when this happened? (taking off the cover and physically see if there was crude in the sensor path?)

What setting does the marker have. Which board... etc...
We would need more info than parden the pun, shooting blind.

It would stop firing because the eyes would stop seeing the ball in the breech even though there was actually a ball in the breech. I cleaned everything thoroughly with alcohol, checked the connections, and changed the battery.

What kind of paint are you using?

I had a case of Drax, that had at least a couple balls that were so oblong, that they were able to enter the breach and not be seen by the eyes. This was with 2C eyes, I haven't a problem since that case.

What board do you have? Frenzy 3.0 or Tadao Ryujin? If you have the Ryujin, what setting are the eyes on? If you set them to "forced" you can pull the trigger for half a second and then the marker will fire, even without seeing a ball in the breach.

to people replied above. I need to tell him to test more before I explain more.

I said in my post that I used BOTH Virtue and Tadao OLED board.

Sounds like a connection/ short issue with the electronics.

Maybe the frame/body was mismachined and occasionally would short out.

Throwing that out there.

there is also the possibility that the ball dents are allowing the ball to move past the eye. Just a thought, it could not hurt to check.

You have elmianted the eyes, and the board by switching them out. I would go with the detents or the wiring.

chubby ninja helped look for balloons
my alias seems do do the same every once and a while.. my fix was to put a piece of plastic between the bottom of the board and the noid.. it was somehow shorting with the metal on the board screwing with the eye function
