Seriously now? An infraction!

How is this an infraction...If I outright made a comment to one poster sure, maybe. It was made as a general statement relating to posts made by many INCLUDING a moderator that pushed it along. Please reverse.

Correct I posted after you poked fun at the posts prior...Either reverse this infraction or get a mega-mod or admin involved. As a mod you can't have it both ways...poke and discipline.

The whole thread was poking fun and has been clipped by the looks of iy of some but not all banter. This infraction is unjust and as a paying member I request this to looked at by someone over you.

The difference is that he made a good natured joke about the sense of humor of the thread starter.

You insulted numerous members in one single post.

If anything being ASM, or a "paying member" as you put it, we should hold you to a higher standard rather than letting you get away with things.

The infraction will not be reversed.

If the infraction will not be reversed then I will moderate the moderators and report all rule bending to the admins...as they must be held to the standard.

Please close this topic...and realize that I request it under great protest.

Calling someone a tool is light compared to what I've seen thrown around here as of late..and will not be taken lightly. I will just be sure to report any name calling I see from here on out as it seems to the new thing to jump on.

Just to confirm though could I get a list of all names that should not be used against posters that are acting foolish please?

Feel free to lock this then add to the list. It will be a great help to me so I know what to watch out for. Oh I still want a mega-mod to look into this aswell...Shall I pm them for you?

How is the tool comment? I personally find the swearing by a mod to be in poor taste...and telling someone to "skip that *****" well that speaks for itself. On you swear a lot on here...is there no longer rules pertaining to swear filtering and such?

"Skip that *****" was used in a discussion about a class in college which is right abovt the post you quoted

You can swear as long as you let the filter do it's job.

Unless you can really show something that says he was insulting someone and not making a kindergarden joke about what happened, i dont really see an argument. There is a pretty big line between what he said, and what you said.

I cant imagine anyone saying "i feel insulted by that". I can see alot of people not being so happy about being a tool.

On top of ALL of that, he isnt the one who gave you the infraction. So you cant really say he egged you into it.

The point I want to drive home is the cherry picking...I call some people a tool that are outright acting like small children when someone asked for help...my examples from his own posts show a blatant disregard to good taste since some members are under 21 and should not be sworn at or go drink some beers as he put it.

Enforce all or nothing...this is a clear case of cherry picking.

There is a clear difference between "Youre a tool" and "skip that ***** and drink some beers". Granted, theirs probably isnt the best taste, but we are all people. You are insulting, where is the insult in what they said?

I made a simple joke at the expense of some posters being mean spirited to a help request and got 2 points...I want them reversed as the thread as whole was fubar.

I have seen mods make far worse comments and now that I see that this is serious in your eyes I will be sure to forward those remarks to John and all the other Admins.

well good luck since you got the infraction from an admin to begin with. Be aware that you cant see what punishment other users receive.
