Interesting acceleration comparison

I don't know how much power my car has. It is running at 15psi (out of a possible 24 on current setup). I data logged this:

From that data... Look where my car sits:

4.15*900+ rwhp Supra, 88mm turbo, 30 psi, TH400 Auto, ET Drags
4.90*Divexxtreme / RWD 996TT / 20 psi / 2 shifts
4.9 - 940 rwhp Supra (35 psi)
5.1 - 840 rwhp Supra (30 psi)
5.4 - 1,000 rwhp TT Viper
5.6 - Bugatti Veyron (estimate based off of verified 100 - 200kph time of 4.8)
5.9 - GSXR 1000 with bolt-ons
5.98*C5 Vette with big motor and NOS
7.56*C5 Z06TT (APS Turbo, no cats, stock muffler, 573 rwhp @ 9.5 psi) / 1 shift

EDIT: Data was pulled from this thread on Bimmerforums http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...d.php?t=911116 where I was just put in 8th overall* (yet to be verified) which when the originator of the thread verifies the above datalog it will be official.

Yes... Next your gonna say it won't hold... right? Trust me it's fine. Early Fox body Mustangs for instance were 4 lug and I have a buddy that ran a 10.02 with slicks on his 4 lug equipped car.

60-130. It's a comparison of other cars that are considered fast (and one bike) showing acceleration. Many other "stats" take too many variables into consideration... 60-130 takes the biggest variable out... DRIVER. It's kind of like a rolling dyno but better. On a dyno it only measures TQ output, and converts to HP. But it doesn't say how fast it can use (or if) it can use that power and what the result will be. And 0- whatever or 1/4 mile has a driver element and traction capability that isn't as present at 60mph. It's a fantastic stat.

And I have race spec lugs... and this isn't a drag car... will only sport 140 treadwear and above tires (mandated by One Lap rules). The drivetrain will snap before the lugs will.

no, it inflates the one good aspect of acceleration that your car has since it's turbocharged, it gets you when you're in boost and puts you next to "expensive" company to make a point about your car being cheap

lets see how your 0-60 times compare to those cars and we'll talk about putting power to use

Thing is those numbers on those Supras were not verified... so possible shenanigans could be on those numbers. Supras can be retarded fast though to be sure! I was more interested in the comparison between known fast (even supercars) cars that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Again, no doubt, Supras can be made to be really really fast. But, just consider a couple of hard facts... 1. They are generally not considered "light" cars mine weighs 2820 no driver 8 of 15 gallons of fuel. 2. Both cars share a near identical syle engine (24v inline 6 cyl)

There are some BMW's of late that have really been pushing the envelope. I am not re creating the wheel with this car at all. I have just followed a simple formula that some other BMW types have followed for guaranteed results. I just built everything, not purchased.

And just so you know I am not a hater...Supras can easily be considered a much more attractive car. Mine was just less expensive to build (and I like/know German cars).
