Well today at work I think I may have discovered a house that may or may not be being used for some illegal activities. I was going around a neighborhood reading the electrical meters like every other normal day. I've had this route many times before and knew of the ****ty little house at the end of the street that looked abandoned.
Before today I never really gave that house much thought, other than of how big of a piece of **** it was. But today was different. I noticed some things today that didn't really add up. Most of the windows were broken, the roof looked like it was getting ready to cave in if given another brutal MI winter, the lawn had never been mowed for the 5+ months I worked the neighborhood, there was visibly no power on in the house, at all. Not a TV, a lightbulb, there was no fridge in the house, nothing. I could see in the back sliding glass door the house was empty.. besides all the trash and clutter on the floor. The little basement windows also had cardboard taped over them, but this glass was not broken.
Somehow, though, the dial on the meter was spinning pretty rapidly. Much more so than a house with lights on major appliances being used. This leads me to believe that there is a lot of electricity being used in the basement. Given the above criteria I would ASSUME this is a pretty elaborate grow house. But there is nothing to prove this.
So I ask you, Small Talk, what should I do? Alert the authorities or just forget about it? I don't really care if they do have a growing operation going on, I just would like to know if my theory is correct or just a product of my wild imagination.
This is the house that is in question.

I'm strongly considering just calling Rochester Hills PD and giving a tip off. My boss is incompetent and would get nothing done. Only reason why I'm hesitant is because I have no hard proof other than the meter running wild.

I was doing my job going into the yard. Today I just happened to put two and two together. I do not adhere to that "street code" bull****, so I don't really care about being labeled a snitch for being a good citizen.

why? so you can be a jackass and ruin someones life because youre bored?
if anything, you should find out who owns the property and get his number
