So I'm here at college and cant connect to xbox live because my MTU settings is too low. I have tried doing some research in the subject but I haven't really got very far, everywhere I turn to says the same thing That I need to change the settings on my router, which obviously doesn't work for me here at college. Although, I connected an ethernet cable from my wall to a router to the xbox and that was working for a while but then for some reason now when I try to log on to to the internet from my router it doesn't work I can only connect from the wall jack now.

So my question for ST:T is, is there some way I can get around these MTU settings without a router? Or am I ****ed?

Edit: Some kids have said that they have heard of people connecting through their computers or something.
