macro lines

so I was wondering, why do so many players prefer macro lines over steel braided lines?

I personally think it looks cleaner. I just dont like the look of steel braid. But there is no preformance advantage to it if that is what you are asking.

You gas up the marker, put on the gloves, strap on the mask, and walk onto the field.. it doesn't matter that you failed a test, that your girlfriend broke up with you last night, or that you got a ticket on the way there... your world is right for the next couple hours, this is your heaven on earth.. live it.. love it..

steel braid is much stonger.

macroline is 10x easier to work with.

take both off a gun and you'll see.

Scissors will do fine, just try and get it as straight a cut as possible.

Another benefit is that macro is much more flexible, steel braid can fray or get bent out of shape.

I've always been a fan of steel braided lines with a shrink wrap cover. You can get many colors so you can get a look like macro without the hassles of it wearing out or leaking. It can be a pain though to get the length perfect and you really need to get a QD fitting as well. I use it on a few of my guns that I know will never be changed or sold so it's a one time setup. If I were to change guns all the time or need new parts I probably wouldn't take the time and money to do it.

when it leaks out of the fittings. then you replace the offending line, and if necessary, the fitting too.

I prefer braided, but I don't need to remove my reg very often. Actually, never so far.

I have meters and meters of macro at work, if I wanted to switch.
