Imagine this scenario: Big tourney tomorrow, You have two guns. An 09 ego and a old up'd ion you used before you bought the ego. You noticed the eyes on your ego aren't working. Would you rock the ion so you have some type of eye system or would you take the chances and run the ego?

even if it was 15 bps id still go with a blind ego. i used a blind sft in a tourny before and did fine

I've shot(owned really) a blind SFT for the past 3 years, shot semi it's entire life. I also shot a phantom for awhile, so it's not that I can't move with a slow ROF. I just got used to everyone else not being able to move with a slow ROF. When I get back in I may be on an even playing field, this is something of a concern.

I'd go with the ion though, because I don't really need ramping, what I do need is a gun that shoots straight. One thing I have learned is no gun is chop proof, I want all the assurance I can get that I won't get a chop at the critical time and not be able to hit anyone.

Indeed, I own an SP-1 and it's one of the best guns I've owned in terms of reliability...

I wouldn't mind using it in a tournament although I'd probably want something that wasn't capped at 11 (personal prefernce)... unless everyone else was at 10.5 ramp, and I got 11 semi -_-.

It depends on how fast the gun is capped. At 10bps, you don't even really need a force feed loader, lol.

But I would never enter a tournament with a blind gun that could shoot in excess of 13bps. No loader is so consistant and fast that it can guarantee no chops. Most if not all loaders will skip a ball occasionally if you exceed 13bps. In my experience, chopping is something you really can't afford in a tourney...

So I'd use the Ion - it will shoot just as good as the Ego anyway. (no-dodgy.)

Well...if you have a PSP/x-ball tournament...and your ion doesn't do PSP/NXL...you really can't use it legally anyway. So...get penalized for an illegal gun, or shoot blind and make some adjustments to settings to minimize chopping...your choice. I think I'd go with the Ego; just up the bolt delay a bit.

no no mater your firing mode you have to conform to ROF cap Im pretty sure.
