Using BN O-rings instead of UR O-rings
Hey Ballers,
I have a DYE repair kit on order from a local store, but I see there are o-ring kits available online through other non-DYE parties.
Shooting a DM9 and this is my first Matrix marker and not sure what past DM's used in the top hat and can.
Some of these non-DYE kits don't have the urethane (clear) o-rings but the regular black ones.
I was wondering if any DM shooters use the regular (black o-rings) in place of the urethane (clear) o-rings. Any significant difference?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

It is completely fine to use 017 BN o-rings instead of the 017 UR o-rings. In fact we have switched from 017 UR70 (clear) o-rings to 017 BN70 o-rings.

Glad to hear this. I've been wanting to change out the can O rings to buna.

The buna's don't last as long as the Urethane's though. Keep an eye on them when you clean them.

I was told about that the BN's might not last as long. But that's awesome to hear we can use them. I was a little scared I would have to special order o-rings.
Thanks guys!

ive been using BN in my whole bolt kit in my dm6 since end of 2006. ive only had to change the can orings maybe once or twice, so they still last a pretty long time.

The urethane o rings haven't lasted that long on my gun. Maybe they're old or dried out. Anyhow, I'm going to switch to buna before I play next week.

Urethanes can dry out if regular maintenance isn't done to the marker. Urethanes tend to turn a yellowish shade before they go bad.

Changes my Ureyhanes to black and only took less than 1 case to break it in. I have noticed a few if my urethane orings in my spare kit seems to have turnedb yellow and hard... Speacially the on/off flow plug oring
