For those who have photographed college football before, how did you go about doing so? Who did you contact? Do you need one of those camera thingies? () Is it a difficult process that takes a while? Need help por favor.

It's very very difficult to shoot college stuff at a larger school. I'm not sure about smaller schools, but I know that it was a pain in the *** just for me to get on as an assistant for someone at the last two UW games. Basically if you aren't shooting for a local newspaper or national wire, you aren't going to get a pass.
basically what jimmy said, if it is a bigger school or somewhere with a decent program than it is much harder to get a pass. You need a legitimate reason to be there, not just that you want to shoot it. At my school it is not as strict, but I shoot alot of sports for the school paper, and we dont even have a football team anymore.
Your best bet is to contact to athletics director, they will be able to guide you in the right direction. Give them as much notice as possible, because they probably wont get back to you very quickly.

thats true at smaller schools, ive done that a few times at my school, but at bigger schools it doesnt work too well, they are used to seeing that kind of stuff. If you are looking for sports to shoot, try high school games, those usually arent that hard to get on the field for, if the give you crap, offer to give them a few photos.
