slide vs ccm

I just bought a new toy for myself, an orange 05 prostock... i am converting it to pump! i am undecided on what trigger frame i want, so thats why i am here to ask you. My choices are a slider trigger frame or a ccm trigger frame. I need your opinions on which is better, and why. I was also considering a ccm auto trigger kit.

Slider: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...%3DI%26otn%3D1

CCM: http://cgi.ebay.com/Frame-CCM-New-Th...item2303582872

Thanks Guys!!

Neither is "better" per say but between the two that you showed the CCM is higher quality. You can find some really nice sliders. It's all personal preference.

Ive tried both. You can adjust either to have a very light trigger pull but the difference really is literally one has a swing motion and one has a slide motion. I just prefer the swing frame because, well... iunno really lol, they look better to me for one, but I wouldn't mind using a good slide frame.

between the two choices given, i'd take the CCM. but i'd take my ANS quickfire slider frame over a CCM any day.

ccm frame is 100% awesome, no tweaking or tuning you really cant go wrong with a swing frame

when it comes to sliders they are either really really nice or straight terrible, it usually depends on how well the internals pair with the frame. Its usually a good idea to get internals that are the same make as the frame, or buy a complete frame new factory condition.

The WGP frame linked above is a decent frame, i had one on my first sniper.

But you wouldn't put a slider on an S6, would you?

CCM trigger pulls are very light, smooth and when coupled with AT, probably second to none in overall performance. Sliders tend to have fewer adjustments than hinges, and often feel "longer" (in pull length) to some.

i have both and the ccm hinge can be too easy to pull. since we are not shooting high accuracy sniper rifles i dont mind the longer trigger pull and has kept me from some accidental shots. i have made the mistake of shooting teammates when switching to left hand shots when they are pretty close to the same shot line as the other team. both feel good in the hand and i like mine with fat grips not the little skinny ones.

actually, i would consider it. it would probably end up being a CCM slider, but it'd be a slider. i'm not fond of how spongy the CCM hinges feel compared to the snappiness of my slider. perhaps it's part of the AT tuning, but i simply don't like the feel.

Since you've only felt my S6 frame (set up for me), how can you come to the conclusion that the hinge can't be snappy? You shot my old Reflex and other guns, you know what these things are capable of.

Same here! i would take an DYE, ANS, Belsales, KAPP, and any high quality sliders over a CCM, its because i prefer sliders, the quality of the CCM frame is very high.

the CCM and DYE hinge frames usually have more of a mechanical advantage of trigger pull to sear drop than sliders, this is perfect for timing an autotrigger because it will have a more consistent sear release.

Timing the sear release with a slider needs a lot more work to get it to release in a consistent manner, because there is less sear drop for the trigger pull. Also the slider trigger plate design has more inherent slop/wiggle, this can be eliminated with tuning and refinement, it takes a while, but i think its worth it because you get a smoother trigger pull than a hinge.
