Dm8 bounce

ok i well i have a violent products trigger on my dm8. My gun tends to bounce a lot. Someone mentioned to put in the trigger spring which i did not have on it, so i took one form my repair kit and put it in and still no luck. but i might have put it in the wrong place so any help on that would be appreciated.

Also i have tried raising the trigger sensitivity setting and still no luck as well as trigger adjustment (pull, reach, etc.)

Any help would be appreciated.

I will post a video of the bounce and the trigger spring location shortly.

There is a small bracket that the spring should sit in, there isn't really anywhere else for you to put it.

And you may need to simply adjust the trigger so that the pull is a bit longer.

i think i know what ur talking about, it's like a slot above the switch right? it goes in there and the other end touchs the trigger?

if that's the case i have the spring there already but it seems like the spring has little effect on it as it doesn't really provide any resistance.

Sounds like you have it in correctly. I know the VP trigger only has 1 adjustment, is it for the micro switch contact point? That screw might need to be backed out some.

i wonder if the problem may be that the spring isnt pressing against a screw?

because the spring is against the little slot and a hole in the trigger where there is no screw....i wonnder if there's supposed to be one there?

there's onyl two screws above the trigger that can be adjusted and one attached to the trigger in the center.

The screw in the center of the trigger may need to be backed out some. And yes, you have the spring in the right place. As long as the spring is touching the trigger, it should be working just fine.

yes but the trigger has two holes for screws, the one shown in the picture and then there's another right above it which seems to go into the frame directly to the spring. is that screw needed? according to the manual this controls the spring tension, and i do not have the screw for this..however i wonder what the screw pictured on the trigger is used for?

you know what i think i fixed it, i stretched the spring so that it provided more tension on the trigger and now it doesn't seem bouncy. thx a lot for your help Andrew.

i liked it better bouncy.... =/

No problem dude. You can always adjust the trigger sensitivity if you like a little more bounce.
