i want to get in to mixing and making beats just for fun and dont want to drop $1000 in to a hobby. il build this mixer http://www.instructables.com/id/Birt...-Mixing-Board/ but i still need someway to hookup a keyboard to computer and be able to program the keys to sounds ive made. this may not even be possible i don't know but if it isn't is their any instructions on how to build a programmable mpc type system.

that is a really small mixer, and i'm not really sure what you want to do
you said you want to make beats and mixing, and thosea re two different things

Mixing is when you have the tracks already and you're setting volumes and instrument tones and stuff like that.
